About
Hidden Falls Golf Club is a Leon Howard design that opened in 1974. The course cuts through a pecan grove on the front and what seems like an ocean of water on the back, creating two totally different golf experiences. Howard uncharacteristically left out water on the tight, pecan-lined front, with the wet stuff in play on only one hole. However this one pond plays a role in the best hole on the course, no. 4, which features a pond and waterfall in the landing area off the tee. No. 4 is rated as the most difficult. The more open back nine is dominated by water. No. 10 starts off with a drive of 200-yards-plus over the pond fronting the tee. A small creek comes into play on the next three holes, which lead you to the other signature hole, no. 14. Water lines the left side of the 14th, and the approach is over a small pond. If that's not enough, the final three holes all feature water in play off the tee.

Slowest Round with No Help From Pro Shop
The rye grass is starting to grow in so in a couple more weeks the fairways and greens should be in pretty good shape.
There is a serious problem though with the issue of slow play that was not addressed by the pro shop. Played in a walking 2 some and we are quick. Waited behind a foursome of 2 couples that were playing a 4 person scramble. We waited every shot from the first hole and were sometimes within 30 yards of them. They refused to let us thru. Called the pro shop on the 7th tee box and he said they had no Marshall even though it was a Sunday. Said he would try to find someone to tell them which he never did. We ended up skipping past them (without asking) on the 10 the when they went to the club house to get something. Come to find out they were 4 holes behind the mixed couple foursome that teed up just before them. Some serious issues need to be addressed at this club.
They also advise you to not bring your own drinks to the course but do not have any cart service and no water to drink on the course.
Had a great time playing the course. Fairways needed to be cut but other than that it is a great place to play for the money. Challenging course and greens in great shape. I definitely will be back soon!!

The course is always in great condition and the layout is challenging but fair. an even distribution of fade vs draw holes- bring both.

Fun Sunday morning golf
Fun Sunday morning round. They were grouping in 2 - somes, so we moved along pretty quick, completed the 18 in 3.5 hours. Course was fun, and not too challenging.

Course always in great shape
Before I moved to Liberty Hill Tx, I had only played this course once and really liked it but, it was too far for me
considering all the other courses all me. Since I moved I am now playing it at least twice a month. I really do enjoy paying here. I have told many of my friends about the course.
