Hidden Falls Golf Club
About
Hidden Falls Golf Club is a Leon Howard design that opened in 1974. The course cuts through a pecan grove on the front and what seems like an ocean of water on the back, creating two totally different golf experiences. Howard uncharacteristically left out water on the tight, pecan-lined front, with the wet stuff in play on only one hole. However this one pond plays a role in the best hole on the course, no. 4, which features a pond and waterfall in the landing area off the tee. No. 4 is rated as the most difficult. The more open back nine is dominated by water. No. 10 starts off with a drive of 200-yards-plus over the pond fronting the tee. A small creek comes into play on the next three holes, which lead you to the other signature hole, no. 14. Water lines the left side of the 14th, and the approach is over a small pond. If that's not enough, the final three holes all feature water in play off the tee.

I play 11 holes and I enjoyed it wish it was Daylight Savings time
Excellent greens!
The condition of the course was excellent but most of the cart paths are not.
Great value for the money
We like this courser, it's staff is great, we like their food, the course is in good condition, and the price is just right!
2 1/2 hour round?
played 2 days after christmas and it was cold and misty/raining so course was empty. got a hot deal for 10$ bucks, so i got a great deal. wanted to pair up with somebody but course was empty because of the weather.my 1st time to play it so i had to hit some clubs off the tee box i normally wouldnt have due to numerous doglegs and houses on every hole. the back 9 is the more challenging because of the water you have to cross.the greens were in great condition for december. im in that area about once a month and definetly will be going back
Hidden Falls Golf Club
Pleasantly surprised ! Never new this course was here.
Fairways in good condition, greens were excellent!!
Very nice Older Country Club tucked away in quite neighborhood. Pace of play somewhat slow, starter was allowing 5 somes to play as a group in front of us.
But overall great day..
Wide open but challanging.
OB galore. Accuracy off the tee is important because long irons & woods for 2nd shot is not uncommon.
greens
Greens were a bit slow due to overseeding 3 weeks previous
Great Time
A very enjoyable round. Familiar with most of courses in area - course was in very good condition all things considered. In a couple of weeks the greens should be great (just over-seeded). Played from red tees and had fun. Playing forward made the course interesting, had to use a shorter club than normal and play target golf.
TIP: Get a copy of the course setup from the clubhouse (free). You'll need it to figure safe distances for drives, layups, etc.
Interesting Course
Two different nines. Front is in a housing area. Back is more open. Recommend getting a yardage book due to some blind shots.
Always a good time
This course is fun. Playing time is always quick with little waiting. Good times.
Enjoyable
I did not have high expectations since we got $16 rate on a Saturday morning. The parking lot was pretty bare but it's located in a gated retirement community. Overall the course was maintained nicely. No sand bunkers. I highly recommend getting the course guide. There is water in unexpected places along with quite a few blind shots. Shockingly on a beautiful Saturday morning we had a leisurely 4 hour pace of play with no waiting or being pushed. We will definitely play again when we return to the area.
Enjoyable Round
Front nine tree lined with doglegs with ample landing areas. Back nine a little more open but with water in play on most holes. Not crowded played in just over 3 hrs as a twosome. Very friendly staff
Course Improving
Second time to play this course this year, good improvement in regards to the greens.
Great!
Nice course. Great staff. Incredible bargain. Would definitely go back.
Good Shape - course knowledge would help
The course is in very good shape and a pretty fun course. As someone that hasn't played there in years, a little course knowledge would help. There are quite a few layup or blind shots that can bite you if you don't know what to do or where to hit it, but overall the course played nicely. We will be back!
Very fair test with some stressful holes
Interesting course that was fun to play with the family. Greens were in decent condition with a few having some different grass on them, but they still rolled true. What the course lacked in hazards in bit back with the rough. A couple of the holes were very difficult with shot placement a must. Pro shop attendant was very helpful and friendly.
Hidden Falls Golf Course
Course is well kept. Staff is friendly. Booking a tee time is easy. Greens are well kept. Variety of obstacles: mostly doglegs and water hazards. Golf carts are nice and well maintained. Pro shop offers variety of golfing necessities and equipment. Excited to play again at this location.
great time with my son
Had a great time , front nine a little tighter but easy compared to the back.
Fun layout
This course has a fun layout and is challenging. The gentleman in the pro shop is a super nice guy. Overall a very good experience.
Great value
Great value for a public course. All the people who work there were so friendly and helpful. They clearly want to make this a place you want to return to. The cart paths need some work, the greens were ok and a little bumpy, fairways weren't hard pan as can happen at public courses in the heat. One of the better public course experiences.
