Hidden Falls Golf Club

About
Hidden Falls Golf Club is a Leon Howard design that opened in 1974. The course cuts through a pecan grove on the front and what seems like an ocean of water on the back, creating two totally different golf experiences. Howard uncharacteristically left out water on the tight, pecan-lined front, with the wet stuff in play on only one hole. However this one pond plays a role in the best hole on the course, no. 4, which features a pond and waterfall in the landing area off the tee. No. 4 is rated as the most difficult. The more open back nine is dominated by water. No. 10 starts off with a drive of 200-yards-plus over the pond fronting the tee. A small creek comes into play on the next three holes, which lead you to the other signature hole, no. 14. Water lines the left side of the 14th, and the approach is over a small pond. If that's not enough, the final three holes all feature water in play off the tee.

Friendly staff but not very good condition
Friendly staff and played in 3 hours in a Sunday teeing off at 9:10. It was my first and last time playing here. The greens are slow and need some help. It was a 50 min drive and so many other course in better condition without the drive
Hidden Falls GC
Course is in great shape (not a PGA course), but in great shape for a small town course in Marble Falls, Tx.
T box, Fairways and Greens are GREEN
Would definitely recommend playin
Good course
Overall, a very good course. The greens were very slow, and the fairways were also very slow. The grass is a bit different than the other golf course courses in this area.
Great Course
It was my first time playing Hidden Falls and it’s a very challenging course, with great layout.
Love this track….
Another enjoyable round with buds out at Hidden Falls. Always enjoy interacting with the staff, the course in its best conditions over the past three summers, and the beautiful weather….
Thanks for all of your hard work to maintain the course, your friendly interaction, and providing a a fun experience.
Best pro shop employee ever!
David Klotz was 1000% the sweetest most kind pro shop worker I have ever had the privilege of meeting. He stayed open for me to swing by right at closing time, helped me find exactly what I was looking for and was extremely kind during my frazzled search for a golf skirt!
He is hands down a wonderful employee and deserves a raise!
Incredible day and course conditions
The break in the Texas heat, and low humidity has been a welcome break on the courses…. Hidden Falls continues to be a local favorite, and the current course conditions are comparable to some of the top courses here in Austin. Thank you for your continued course maintenance and service! Peace……..
Good day at the course!
Overall in great shape. Greens looked good, maybe a bit bumpy and slow. (Maybe that describes me as well!)
Best Round of Golf
The course is absolutely amazing. Staff is top notch, pace of play is amazing, no practice range fees, just all around the best bang for the buck in the entire central Texas area.
Shaggy Fairways need lots of work
I've enjoyed this course for years, but this last time the fairway conditions made for an unpleasant outing. Fairways badly need to be mowed. Fairways look and play like first cut of rough. That goes for the practice range as well. The greens are great. Sadly the shaggy fairway conditions brought my review down significantly.
