If she makes you a sammich after whoopie then that's love but if there's no sammich then it's just whoopie.

Played Here for the first time in months. I was very impressed on the course conditions. Greens was in pretty good shape and rolled true. Tee boxes were taken care of as well.. Hats off to the staff, that’s what made this round worth coming back, from the clubhouse, starter, the Marshall and of course the cart girl!!! Great Weekend at Oak Hollow!!!

The sprinkler system has been broken for years and no one will pony up and fix it, so some holes get very dry in the summer and the grass disappears. There are numerous leaks in the irrigation system too, so some places never dry up.

The course has a ton of potential and they have only started taking slightly better care of it by trimming a few trees. It could be a showpiece but the contract with the city is written in such a way it is more profitable to the contract holder not fix up the course.

Everytime I visit the course they are very helpful. Course is always in great shape and very clean pro shop. They also have great lessons and summer camps for the kids.

The course has experienced heavy rains recently which caused wash outs on the fairways , rough and greens. The conditions were challenging but such is anticipated with "winter golf". The rain effect made the course even more of a challenge and greens were bumpy due to dishing of the top dressing. The course is usually in good condition during the normal months and a fun course to play. I would recommend the course to anyone who wants an enjoyable experience that will test your golfing skills.

Hard to beat the price and the course was in decent shape considering the time of year. Good mix of easy and difficult holes. Power lines are a bit annoying but not that big of a deal.

I followed the rules while waiting 35 minutes for a golf cart. The starter allowed golfers that were checked in after me to grab carts, while I simply was overlooked. I noticed several golfers left because the starter was disorganized and only focused on pairing golfers. I spoke with the manager and I was promised the next cart.

After waiting 35 minutes for a cart, I was told that I had to ride with another golfer. I was told by the starter, that I either share a cart or I don’t play on the golf course. I noticed several groups behind me that were not mandated to share golf carts or not play. I guess the rule was only for me.

The staff was rude, disorganized and impolite. I play golf several times a week and this was my worse golf experience since moving to Dallas last year.

The rough around the greens in various areas needs to be mowed even though the grass is dead. It is difficult to find balls in the deep grass. Otherwise, the course is in good winter condition. The greens are especially fast, but well groomed. The course is fun to play. Some holes are especially challenging.

The greens and fairways are always in good condition. However, the rough lining the fairways and around the greens has been way too deep this summer. You could hit a ball ten yards and lose it. Other than needing to mow the rough lower, this course is consistently in good condition. The greens have been exceptionally good this year.

The course is a good deal for the money...during the week. The layout is nice, there are some challenging holes and some easy ones which is a good mix. Number 8 is always going to be hard. The greens are in decent condition based on pin placement. The rough can be thick and punishing on holes which aren't hard panned which is a good defense for this course. A wild slice or snap hook likely means a lost ball due to the thickness, again, a good defense for the course.

The pace of play on the weekends is awful and is not enforced by marshals, however several are staffed. First off, they don't allow any singles but they sell them on golf now. I can understand the starter's policy, but within reason. I sat for 50 minutes past my tee time waiting for a pairing while the #1 laid EMPTY for three tee time slots. One would think that make for a nice pace once we finally tee'd off, no. By the third hole we were already waiting. Silly waiting at that, ball hunting, no ready golf, etc. This is a local muni, not the tour ;).

The marshals need to be enforcing pace of play and forcing on course pairings (back to back twosomes need to play together if they're bumping into each other). I'm yet to see a marshal talk to a group about speeding up, that is if you see one. Two different occasions now I've had a paired single take off to an "open hole" because of the wait, which only makes things worse later on.

Good course that will surprise you. Moderate difficulty except for 3 holes that will make you think and invent new cuss words. Great value. Course conditions are much better than a city municipal course but not as taylored as a club. Great daily home course option but not worth traveling out of state to see it.

This course could be gorgeous but instead it is more like a cow pasture. Maintenance is terrible. Half of the sprinkler system doesn't work and what does leaks terrible making certain areas swamps, they water infrequently with the hose. No one enforces the rules so everyone drives all over the course. You never know what a round will cost you. It seems everyone just charges what they think. The mowers frequently leak oil on the greens. the range ball picker is broken down 25% of the time. The bunkers are as hard as rocks with no real sand in them.
