Oak Hollow Golf Course

This course could be gorgeous but instead it is more like a cow pasture. Maintenance is terrible. Half of the sprinkler system doesn't work and what does leaks terrible making certain areas swamps, they water infrequently with the hose. No one enforces the rules so everyone drives all over the course. You never know what a round will cost you. It seems everyone just charges what they think. The mowers frequently leak oil on the greens. the range ball picker is broken down 25% of the time. The bunkers are as hard as rocks with no real sand in them.

Great fun! The entire staff was very friendly & accommodating: starter, pro shop attendant, cafe manager, cart girl, Marshall, & cart barn attendant - All very impressive. The course was in good shape - Fairways were nice & lush, & greens rolled well. Pace was a little slow, but expected on a beautiful Saturday morning. My boys said the BLT & cheeseburger w/ fries were some of the best they’ve ever had. My teenage boys also asked if we could play here again next week! I’d say that’s a high recommendation!

Was behind a group of 5 plus a toddler. Very slow and the toddler was running all around snd on the greens. Greens were recently aerated and were bumpy. Fairways were in decent shape and the staff were professional, courteous, and friendly.

The course has some challenging holes and is tougher than it seems.

The course could be so much better under good management. The equipment frequently breaks down with the mower damaging greens or leaving a trail of oil. Frequently the fairways are closed to carts because of a sprinkle or very light shower. None of the rules are enforced consistently with many players breaking any rule they wish with few consequences. The sprinkler system is garbage. Frequently sprinklers run all night and soak the fairways. There are numerous spots where sprinkler leaks keep the ground saturated all of the time. No one fixes anything.

Generally a nice, flat layout. Some really challenging holes (especially #8). It's a friendly, low-key atmosphere close to Big D. Course is kept in good shape, even with the North Texas Summer weather. Staff is helpful, friendly and competent.

The front 9 holes are my favorite on this course, with the 7th and 8th being a bit more challenging.

Course is usually in good condition, staff is very friendly, especially after you have been a few times.

The driving range seems to be out of commission more than normal. Some due to weather, but other times due to mechanical difficulties with the ball collection, etc.

Greens are excellent course is wonderfully maintained. But is sad to lose balls in the first cut of fairways. But great to hit out of the first cut.

I took my son and we played 18 holes, had a great time and would recommend this course to all my friends. It wasn't too expensive and easy to schedule a tee time that was perfect for me. The only issue we had is at hole 16 our golf cart ran out of juice. It didn't take long for someone to bring anther cart, but would have rather been able to continue to play. We did notice two other golfers with the same problem. This will not keep us coming back.

Watch out thinking this is an easy public course as it used to be wide open. They allowed the roughs to grow up this year and that makes this a shot makers course but still with some "give it a rip" shots as well. Definitely like the improvements! Not expensive at all to play either!! Highly recommend to anyone!
