Oak Hollow Golf Course

Great time! Great value! This is a nice course for what you pay. I would recommend it to everyone regardless of skill level.

Overall, the course is pretty good for the value. It wasn't a memorable course, but it wasn't a course you try your best to forget either.

Before booking this reservation, I read the reviews online most of which had high praise for the course. Once my daughter and I got there, we found the course to be not in very good condition. The fairways were bumpy and hard, the greens were bumpy and hard and there was no water in o couple of the water jugs. This would normally not be a problem but it was close to 95° the afternoon we played. Additionally there was no cart girl that came by with drinks. Ever. Not even one time.

I will not be returning. For the price there are much better courses in the area.

Really good course for your money but pace of play was horrible. So many 2somes back to back to back. They should have been paired up, I don't recall EVER seeing a Marshall. But I was told by several golfers that are regulars even when there is a Marshall they don't saying anything to anyone. On one hole there was a group on the green, 1 in the fairway, 1 on the tee box and 2 more waiting at the tee box. Then group in front of me jumped in front of the group in front of them and I found out why. I talked to them on the tee box and 1 said he never played before. The next hole they took forever in the fairway and then when they got done with the hole they stood on the green talking for several minutes, I picked up my ball and went home.

I played Saturday morning at 10:12 AM and we didn't hit our second tee shot until almost 11:00 AM. There was not one hole where we didn't have to wait for the group (or groups) in front of us to tee off. Other than the slow pace of place the course was great. The entire course was green and freshly mowed and the greens were firm but fair. I really enjoyed the course layout and the challenging greens. I would definitely suggest playing this course but you may want to play early or on a week day. For the money it is one of the better courses north of Dallas but I will never play here on a weekend again.

Best father's gift from my daughter. Have to wait a little bit for peolple in the front before they let us play thru. Love the lay-out. Position and distance control are very important here. Will come back again.

I've played this course a dozen times, each time it seems we are always waiting no matter how early we book. Well not this time, the starter was on the same page as not having an empty tee box. We played as a threesome and had four in front of us that played really fast. We got in just under 3 1/2 hrs. Hope this will continue and we will keep coming back.. nice job to the starter and marshall!!

The course was in great shape. My major complaint is that we saw two groups (a 4 some and a 5 some) of Oak Hollow employees playing in front of us. They refused to let any 2 somes play through. The course marshall didn't blink an eye that they had 5 players playing together on a holiday weekend.

This course needs to manage its tee times. I got there and had three other groups with the same tee time. And then the walk up. We waited in the tee box, every tee box for 10-15 minutes.

Terrible pace of play.

The greens are fast. The realist of the course condition is below what other muni courses are in DFW.

I can find better places to play for the price.

There were several holes where we had errant shots from other holes almost hit us since they are so close to each other. The course looks like it has great potential but just needs to be taken care of a little bit better. It had just rained a ton that week and the course was still dry and hard as a rock in some areas. I can't imagine what it's like in the middle of the summer.

Overall, it's still a good value since it's so cheap. Good course if you're just looking to get in 18 without having to fork over an arm and a leg.

My son and I luckily arrived early as there was a tournament booked and the pro shop apologized that it had not been put on the books, but we could go out early, but to start on hole 4. I understood this situation and I was just glad to be out playing with my son. We arrived at hole 4 and another group was there. We waited for them to tee off and then we did. We never really had to wait on the group ahead, nor did the group behind us have to wait. When we finished hole 18 and headed to hole 1 to complete our round there were 4 groups waiting to tee off. We just quit at that time. The pro shop was very nice when we arrived and again I know this was an oversize. We had a fun day. My complaint or issue was the condition of the course. I know that it's just passed the winter months and grass isn't completely in, but there were 2 ponds on the course that was full of debris, bottles, cans, garbage. The tee boxes were full of broken tees and hardly any grass on the tee boxes.

It really needs to be cleaned up just for a nice eye appeal. I have 2 homes which are in golf resorts and I don't expect city courses to be perfect, but please clean up garbage around the ponds and tees off the tee boxes.

Though I've played this course 3 times now to get a good feel of it, I like it. The layout is good, with a few holes that sit close to other tee boxes and the driving range. You may run into some people that are just stubborn and won't let you play through, but it's all good. Just relax and enjoy your round.

The course was in good shape for the season and the pace was a little slow but for good Friday it was to be expected.. Great service and the cart girl was exceptional, she came around often and the course was fantastic to play. A few difficult holes mixed in with average holes. Great day.

I know it's early in the season, but I've played other courses closer to me that are in much better shape in terms of grass density. Also, the fairways are pretty hard pan, even with the recent rain. Price was OK, but not advantageous enough for me to make the trip. Maybe later this spring, if reviews indicate the course is more playable.

The course is forgiving to a certain extend. Good course to start the summer.

Tee box so hard had trouble getting tee's in ground.

So many Range Balls land on #10 fairway we had to hunt for our dives.

Course needed water, 2nd shots were always from hardpan.

We played on a beautiful day, however the hole placement on the greens are awful. The best grass on the course were on the tee boxes. I know its still late winter and we have yet to get a good rain, however, no major reason for the extremely hard and fast greens and fairways.

Scheduled tee time through GolfNow for around 30 bucks. Course was in pretty good condition for late winter months. Fairways were fairly hardpan but still pretty playable. Course not too difficult. Arrived on time as a single and was given the option to play with group in front of me who were great guys. Enjoyed the round. Course marshall and clubhouse staff were really friendly and helpful. Driving range is good for driving practice but wouldn't practice irons too much as soil is very compact. Overall good outing with nice staff. Will play again in summer months to see if fairways play softer.

This course seems like it was just thrown together on land where power lines travel through. Weird layout, and the pace of play was so slow it was impossible to get in a rhythm. The green were as hard and fast as playing on concrete. I won't be back.

Is a good course for weather time, The 8 hole is very challenging and fun to play. Overall a nice experience.
