Oak Hollow Golf Course
About
After 50 years, the old 9-hole McKinney Municipal Golf Course shut down to make room for the new 18-hole championship layout now known as Oak Hollow. This new layout, designed by Maury Miller, opened in 1998, featuring rolling terrain that routes around six manmade lakes.
Miller’s design is particularly friendly from the middle tees, playing a fair 6,277 yards with several short par 3s and many average-length par 5s. The number one handicap is No. 15, a 423-yard par 4.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 75 north to Hwy. 380, then head east to Hwy. 5 (McDonald St.). The road veers and leads you 1 mile to the course.

Really good public course to play… Will definitely be back to play here again
Nice course
I rated the course conditions as average, but not their fault. The night before lots of rain and it was very, very wet and cart path only. Greens were in fantastic shape. Had to play lift clean place, and there was no white on my white towel after the round from cleaning the clubs (It was mud black). Still enjoyed the course a lot. I'd like to play it again someday in better weather conditions but unlikely since I live in the Las Vegas area.
Rough Shape and Overpriced
Dirt patches everywhere, uneven greens, but decent layout. Course needs some work. Only worth about $40 until they fix it up.

Love this course, staff is great, course is nice to play sometimes it gets backed up at the holes, so you have to wait but other times its nice an smooth just depends on the day LOL.
Overall love placing this course.
Worst golf experience
The Marshalls were very very annoying, always coming and talking about faster play. 0 enjoyment 0 relaxation. They told me if you have a bad shot, get your ball and walk to the green. Absolutely rude and horrible behavior, I did not feel welcomed. Never ever would pay to get a talking to every single hole of the game.
Not bad
Course is in pretty good shape. The greens had been aerated recently, but rolled pretty well in spite of that. Got behind a group of kids hitting multiple balls. Slowed play considerably
Pretty Course
First time playing at Oak Hollow. We loved that they had a starter to guide you when you tee off on hole one. The course was super easy to follow enough difficulty. The greens were super fast with a lot of sand on them, but overall a really great experience. We intend to play here again!
Good course for the Hot Deal money
Course was in ok shape. Tee boxes were great. Fairways were ok and greens seemed to roll fine. First time here and for the hot deal money, I would go back. Round was very slow as we waited on every hole in front but back opened up. Not everyone played past 9 so that helped. Beware of number 8. There is a reason it’s the number 1 handicap hole.
