About
Mesquite’s muni, located in the Duck Creek floodplain, was built in the 1960s by Leon Howard. Playing only 6,280 yards from the tips and void of bunkers, it makes for a fun day on the links. In fact, water comes into play only seven times–not as much as you might think for a floodplain course that has been ravaged by floods over the years.
The most challenging hole, No. 13, has water. It’s a 418-yard par 4 that doglegs right and features a tee shot over a creek, followed by a long approach to a tough, narrow green.

Getting there : From I-30 east, take Northwest Hwy. for .5 mile to North Hwy. 67 and the course.

Winter golf
Greens are super fast. But for winter golf in January, it’s in great shape and fun to just get out
Disgusted
The golf marshalls were incredibly rude they don’t abide by there own rules of golf attire required nor do they enforce it. I personally have never been treated so poorly at any course. I will never go back nor refer it to anyone.
Greens recently aerated. Pace was slow due to mixed 3-,some in front of us. Morning was slso foggy.
Lightning fast greens
Finally got back to Mesquite & had a blast. Not used to these greens but want another crack at them. Wished people would fix their ballmarks but too lazy I guess. I try to do 5 per green, so easy & good karma.
Good Value
Great greens, but very fast! Condition were good for a municipal course and te staff was friendly.
First time
My little girl wanted to play, we found this course and went early had some burgers and talked to the staff. They gave us plenty of tips on playing for my little girl's first time.
Love the greens!
I've played here several times and every time, the staff are very friendly. I appreciate that and it makes it a great experience each time!
The course is in great condition. I love the greens. Some might not appreciate the speed of them, but I really love that aspect.
