Worst golf course ever
We only played 5 holes and that took 90 minutes. There was 3 groups on a tee box a time. Started round 30 minutes late because they didn’t have enough carts. Each green was completely different, some were slow and some you couldn’t stop a ball on.
The course layout is nice
Only thing I would say is the greens could be better other than that for the price I like this course
Fairways had great laid outs with greens right pass creek
Fairways where great, the greens had some weeds because lack of rain but was mowed good didn’t interfere with putting at all
Not worth it
The course isn’t maintained what so ever. Even if you hit a fairway it’s like landing in a parking lot and the ball jets off into the woods. If it was $15 a round it might be worth it.
Could be a hidden gem?
I wanted a course to play 9 holes after work and I found Duck Creek Golf Club, an older golf course community in Garland. It was 15 minutes from work and the price was really reasonable. After seeing the mobile home club house, I wasn't sure how this course would look, but the layout is challenging and long and interesting. WIDE fairways and fast. Plenty of roll out from my low ball flight. Fairways need watering, but the greens were lush. The biggest fault I found was the amount of driving amongst the neighborhoods to get to the holes, especially from 9 to 10. I said I wanted to play 9, but Duck Creek has 18. I ended up playing 11 as I needed to get home. Ended on a birdie. Nice!
Pace of play
Pace of play was way too slow. I caught a group of people who started at 2:40ish and I started at 3:08. We all got off the course at 6:10. I get needing to make money but way to many people on the course at one time. Green and fair way can not tell a difference between the two. Some greens had clovers growing on them. Course is making money but not putting it back into fixing the course.
Bad gotten worse
Its never been a great course but this place when from a fair backup plan if everything is booked up to now it’s just awful the greens are basically painted on pace of play is atrocious if you find yourself here welcome to the worst course in DFW
Ok for the price
The course is in bad shape might be due to lack of water I will play again after rains. The greens are not bad. It’s a fun course to play I think some rain might do this course some good
DO NOT PLAY DUCK CREEK
DUCK CREEK IS A DUMP. NOT WORTHY OF ANY GOLFER OTHER THAN BEGINNERS AND KIDS. POORLY MAINTAINED GREENS, TEE BOXES, AND FAIRWAYS. A MOBILE TRAILER IS THE CLUBHOUSE. CART PATHS HAVE GIANT CRACKS, BRIDGES ARE UNSAFE, AND RESTROOM FACILITIES ARE TERRIBLE, EVEN THE PORTAPOTTIES.
THE OWNERS JUST NEED TO SHUT IT DOWN AND SELL THE LAND TO A HOMEBUILDER. THE OWNER CERTAINLY DOES NOT MAINTAIN ANYTHING.
Free for all start.
Unfortunately the pace of play made things really bad. Maybe get a starter out there on number one and team everyone up in foursomes. Otherwise staff was great.
Avoid
This might be the worst and overpriced course in the entire United States. When you pull up, you have to go to a trailer. you’re hitting on nothing but concrete all day, and the pace of place is so slow
