Lack of maintenance
Greens were long, Tee boxes were cut, had to wait 25 mins after tee time for a cart. This should be a $20 course and not $45
Under appreciated
Golf snobs won’t like this course because there are broken tees on the tee boxes, the club house is a trailer, and there is no cart girl.
For the other 90% of us, this is a great value! White tees almost 6100 yards. Several “thinking” holes to challenge your shot making and just enough holes to allow you to swing away!
I hope people continue to underrate this place, makes my round that much more pleasant!
Not worth what they are charging
No range, practically no practice area at all besides a hole in the ground. Almost a 6 hour round waiting for two groups almost every hole. Greens are kind of all over the place with speed and consistency and grass lol. Ponds and environmental areas are just uncared-for swamps. Fairways aren’t terrible. There are some cool hole layouts, but just seems like they are just milking the money out of this course till it dies.
From Bad to Worse
This course has been in bad condition for years. Today I took my 9 year old out because it is close to the house but they charged FULL PRICE for a 9 year old. I paid half as much for him to play a resort course in HAWAII than I had to pay for him to play one of the worst courses in DFW. STRIKE ONE!
We showed up early so we could warm up. Standard, you would think, right? Not so much. Range is closed. Did I miss some huge rain storm? NOPE! Range ball picker is broken and apparently they couldn't afford to get it fixed, despite charging juniors full price. Oh! BTW, you also can't have a cart until 20 minutes before your tee time because they don't have enough functioning carts... By 10am... STRIKE TWO!
Then we have the pace of play... The marshall passed a group 3 in front of us, without stopping, but got on us to pick up our pace so we could finish out our hole (8) to hurry and get to #9, which already had 3 groups on it and that happens to be a par 4 that plays right around 300 yards. Where the F did you want us to go dude?!
The guys behind us almost hit us 4 times because they had so little etiquette. They literally hit the ball to within 3 yards of our cart that many times. Marshall said absolutely nothing about that though.
To be honest, I would normally have my son pick his ball up and play at my ball, but I figured if I payed full price for him to play, he is going to take all the shots he needs to take. That being said, we still never got behind the groups in front of us and we finished in 5 hours and 4 minutes after we had to start at 10:54 for our 10:46 tee time.
I will never play this course again unless I REALLY need to get out and there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING anywhere else. Apparently many people feel this way because there are always tee times available, even on weekends. Go elsewhere unless you are DESPERATE.
My favorite Golf Course
I have invited my friends to play at Duck Creek Golf and all my friends fell in love with the course!!!!
Great Value Great Surface
Love coming here. If you love the game but don’t want to be a priced out of the venue and avoid being an “exclusive member”. This is the place. Just real people. Love what they have done to the greens. Surfaces are completely different from just a few moths ago.
Duck Creek Golf
1st time playing the course. Used to be Oakridge Country Club. Challenging course, fun to play.
Slowest golf experience I’ve ever had
Tee’d off 15 minutes later than my tee time because the course was backed up, took almost and hour to play 2 holes, and called it quits because we didn’t want to be out there for 8 hours. Slowest pace of play I have ever seen. No marshal and no one really seemed to know what their tee time or grouping was.
Fairway on the first hole looks like the whoops section of a motocross track.
Other reviews have said “you get what you pay for” but this was a $10 course for $32. Either save your money or drive 10 minutes down the road and play Firewheel or Sherrill Park.
3rd time visiting
After playing at Duck Creek I left my range finder on the cart. I called around 7 to see if they had it. And they said to come to get it!
So I asked if they have time fir 1 player to book!
I joined a group of new to Duck Creek, helped them navigate! They started to enjoy the course as we played more holes!
If first time at Duck Creek was not so fun, come back for the 2nd time, it will be so much better!!!
Under rated course
Today was my second day playing at Duck Creek!
I liked it so much that I invited my sisters and they want me to book for next Saturday👍
Great course, not easy!
Good condition
I haven’t played this course since before the fire. Last I played the greens were in very bad shape. I needed a last minute tee time close to home and reluctantly booked. I was pleasantly surprised. The course is in very good shape, and I look forward to playing here again soon.
Looks like their tee times are still 8 minutes apart, which used to be very problematic on busy weekend days.
Better than it was
Duck Creek has improved quite a bit. Greens are mostly accomodating and roll true. Fairways green and in good shape.
Most of the tee boxes are fine.
Need better signage on getting from 9 to 10 - I took the rong path and ended on 18 playing backwards.
