Mesquite Golf Course
About
Mesquite’s muni, located in the Duck Creek floodplain, was built in the 1960s by Leon Howard. Playing only 6,280 yards from the tips and void of bunkers, it makes for a fun day on the links. In fact, water comes into play only seven times–not as much as you might think for a floodplain course that has been ravaged by floods over the years.
The most challenging hole, No. 13, has water. It’s a 418-yard par 4 that doglegs right and features a tee shot over a creek, followed by a long approach to a tough, narrow green.
Other notes: Garrett Gill and George B. Williams redesigned this course.
Getting there : From I-30 east, take Northwest Hwy. for .5 mile to North Hwy. 67 and the course.

Golf 6/3
Golf was good
Got paired with 2 great guys
Course in great shape
Will play there again soon.
Awesome Course
We played early and the course was in great condition! Fast greens and the fairways were in great condition. The staff has done a great job adapting to COVID-19 and made my outing with my sons so enjoyable!
I WAS STILL CHARGED
I was charged the full fee for my foursome and it was POURING RAIN ALL DAY LONG. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!
First time to play this course in 30+ years. Really nice and conditions of course were a lot better than expected. Highly recommended
Haven’t played here in years
I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the course.
Due to weather it was cart path only, but other than a few spots in the fairway the drainage was pretty good.
Staff was not flexible on the starting 10 minutes before tee time assigned cart I am sure they are simply going by the rules, however we stood for over 25minutes watching no one tee off. Maybe they need to be more flexible? Outside of the counter in the pro shop the remaining staff were very customer focused.
Mesquite Golf Course
This was my first time playing this course. I like it. It’s not too long and doesn’t have a bunch of bunkers. It was challenging to me. The greens could use a little work. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely go back.
Nice course close to home
Course is in great shape, greens are fast, pretty tight links style course. Not many challenging shots. Pace of play was pretty good. Great for the money! Bring your own pencils due to covid!
Mesquite Golf Club
Mesquite has recently reopened under some new protocols. No rakes, water coolers, or sand bottles. The course itself is in good shape overall. The greens have some tricky insulation that sneaks up on you. It's a fun layout with some short par 5s, narrow fairways and forced carries. Pace of play normally isn't an issue at Mesquite.
Customer does NOT come first.
Once this was my home course, Greg ALWAYS made the experience enjoyable..enter Kenny..restrictions prevent me from giving you a real description of this person. From the second you enter the clubhouse his sole intention is to ruin any positivity you had when you entered. Unless you’re in his selected group you’re just a ring of the cash register. Course is playable and somewhat enjoyable but make sure you have a group of four if you decide to ignore any of the reviews of poor customer service. There is no such thing to be found here! Better experiences are closer than you may think with better personality.
Mesquite Golf Club
The course reopened on April 25 and is in good shape. They have implemented some social distancing protocols so check out their website for further details. I really enjoy the layout at Mesquite. There are some forced carries, narrow fairways and enough OB areas to make this course interesting. The greens have some undulations and are currently very quick
Enjoyed the Covid Dance
Course is in excellent shape. Fairways are excellent. Surrounding grass lands look great. Greens were in good shape, but very slow. Even with all player in their own individual carts, pace of play was very good.
Beat up course
The course has been closed for over a month. You would think that the greens would have been allowed to heal but that’s wrong. The greens are down to dirt in some places and it’s sad. If you live in the area it’s an ok place to catch a round but I would never drive to get there. The staff was nice and did there best with all of the COVID 19 hysterics.
The course was in excellent condition
We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the course had been maintained. The layout is very user friendly.
Commendment for corona virus
Severely managed for covid-19, distancing and cleanning cart and Golfer...
Liked this course and staff..
Also several challenged holes, Par 3 and Par 5.
Less than 4 hours round of 4 players with wife.
Solid for the money
Pretty open course and fun to play. Greens were tough with a lot of undulations but i thought they were a good challenge. It’s good value for what you pay.
Stolen Purse
I did leave my purse in the car which was a very bad decision on my part...someone stole my purse and wiped out my checking account. They don't have cameras and unconcerned about the event. Will not be back.
Marshall
We played a 3 hour 40 minute round of golf and the Marshall asked us to play faster.
Other than that it was a positive experience.
