Not worth your money in current condition
Really all you need to know is the greens are horrendous. They are completely gone. Parts are like putting on a table top and parts are so covered in crab grass you can’t possibly obtain an accurate score. Nobody should pay to play this course in its current condition.I wasted my money and time.
The course is not what it used to be at all.
Such a shame.
greens riddled with disease
Greens are in bad shape. Suffered freeze damage. Dollar -size weed growth throughout most greens. Price was high for such poor conditions.
While the golf course is still open for play, we are aware that current conditions are not ideal and this is due to a variety of reasons, including our mid-February historically low temperatures. What we are experiencing is not an isolated situation, and many golf courses throughout Texas are seeing the same challenges in recovering their course conditions.
The resort has an aggressive fertilization and maintenance plan in place to assist in restoring the golf course, in particular the greens, to a much better playing condition. We are optimistic that once temperatures reach a consistent low of 70 degrees, our efforts will take root and our course will once again become an ideal place to play and provide the perfect Margaritaville golf experience that you truly deserve.
Our team appreciates your patience during this time, and looks forward to seeing you here often in the future... and to sunnier days ahead!

Winter issues
I like the layout of the course. The winter we had has killed the greens and putting is more just hope you get close than being able to read and putt. The fairways on some holes have not come back from the winter. Its a good layout but for the cost it's best to play at twilight where its a lot less expensive.
Heart Broken
Seeing the condition of these greens breaks your heart. This course has so much potential.
Let’s face it. When you have to putt on bad greens the game just isnt the same. Hopefully they get this resolved because I love this layout.

Needs Improvement
Worst greens I’ve played on in my 20 years of golfing. Fairways aren’t much of fairways and bunkers need work. Have seen 15$ courses in better condition. With all that being said the layout is nice and has great holes. Wont play again unless they make the greens playable and improve fairways/bunkers. Hope they do course has a lot of potential.

Not playable yet
This course has a great layout and has the potential to come back and be a really nice course but in its current state it’s not playable. There is nothing but sand and crabgrass on the greens.

I think the greens are dead
What’s with the no pull carts everywhere? Covid lives on pull carts but not on motor carts, ball washers, door handles, etc.? Are you kidding me? Bring out the pull carts!
Great Layout. Greens not Good
Course is layed out very nice. My issue is that most of the greens are in very poor condition. Greens keeper told me once the morning temperature gets hotter the spotty grass will disappear. I will most definitely play this course again. Just taking 2 putts on most greens for now.
Great day on the links!
This was my third time playing the course. It was a perfect day. The greens were a little rough on a couple of holes but all in all a very nice course. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. It was another great day on the course!
Winter Conditions
Only my second time playing this year. Course overall is waiting for spring. Greens very spotty and in some cases heavily rolled to a point where the grass was almost clayish. Greens staff told me a lot of poyana grass that will disappear as the morning temps rise. I had an early tee time and the sand traps were a mess. As the day went on they began raking them. Overall I like the course and will definitely play again
Nice morning!!
It’s been along time since I played a round in 2hrs. That alone makes it all worthwhile. The course has lots of potential. It’s still recovering from the tough winter. Can’t wait to see it in a few months!!
Play Somewhere Else
Spray painted dirt greens, sand traps full of water, crabgrass, etc. The layout is also quite straight forward and not very unique. Not one hole on the water and it is a lake resort course. I can’t believe they are charging $60 to play here. I won’t be back. Margaritaville needs to close this place and put some money into it.

Greens are terrible
Greens had more sand and weeds then grass. Fairways no grass to hit off of. Do not play for at least a month.

Complete Rip Off - terrible condition
$60? You have to be kidding. Half the greens were painted dirt. The others have crabgrass all over them. Sand traps were just holding on lace for water (and we haven’t had much rain). Will not be back to play until they close this course and spend some money. Even then, the layout is boring. Look somewhere else to play golf.

Good solid Golf Course
Winterstorm Uri wreaked havoc on the course. There were some.places that snow damaged the turf but to be honest there are some areas that need a bit more that TLC. Greens are.decent for.the time of year and once Covid backs off I think bunkers will be back in play. The course needs some better temperatures and some ground work to restore it to its former self.
Margaritaville needs to spend money
“Need to spend money to make money!” Greens are very difficult to read with the amount of weeds growing. Most sand traps are unplayable. Sand traps are basically water hazards. Course layout is legit. Great price and if you want to just practice it works.

Great after the Storm
Even after the winter storm the course held it's own . Some spots on the fairway were burnt by the cold but overall playable. The greens have some spots of invasive grass growing but nothing that would take away from the round. It's so close to home and I get great deals that I can make it my home course.
