Landa Park Municipal Golf Course

Making the turn onto back nine pace of play so slow I quit on hole 14.

This is the second time this has happened. Like the course but play is way too slow. Guys hitting two tee shots is now acceptable on back nine.

This course was absolutely beautiful, I was decently surprised at how well maintained the greens were especially during the middle of a Texas summer. This course was challenging to navigate, I often times found myself searching for the next hole. But all in all I would absolutely come back and play Landa Park.

For the money you can't beat this course in a 100 mile radius.

Disclaimer: you will be playing a 5-6 hour round EVERY time you play unless you are first off the tee, you won't be, as you will be lucky to get a tee time unless you book at midnight 14 days prior. No Marshall to correct slow play, 5 somes on the weekdays, first 4 hours of tee times are older players in age with standing tee times Mon-Thurs, they slow the entire course down to a crawl, no chance to play through. Plan accordingly.

This place is little too far for me but it’s worth driving.

It’s fun layout and course is in good shape and everyone is nice .

Enjoyed course started at 3:30 ahead of tee time. Was unable to finish after extremely slow play from10th hole-left course after 12th hole. Need to manage people from hitting two tee shoots when course is backed up.

First impression upon checking in is that this is a very friendly place. The starter was also friendly and gave us a quick tutorial of the cart’s built-in GPS system. A couple of the holes had narrow Fairways. Pleasantly surprised by several of the par 3s having significant elevation changes. This is my first time there and I had a really good time.

It was our first time at Landa Park and we loved it! The on-and-off rain didn't detract one bit from the joy of this course. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the deer were almost their equal--at one point we took our shots less than 4 feet from a curious fawn--absolutely beautiful! We will be back--have to return in order to fully appreciate the beauty of the course without looking at it through raindrops! Immaculate greens (including one really nice elevated one on a par 3), challenging, thoughtful layout-a must-play course.

Without doubt this is the best course for the value. I play all over San Antonio and for a municipal course its a steal! Problem is, you can rarely find a decent tee time. I would play here every weekend if I could just get a decent tee time. Strongly recommend as this is a "municipal" course that they ALLOW RESIDENTS of the city an opportunity to secure tee times one day prior than everyone else. Seems on fair.

Courses all around the greater San Antonio/Austin area are all burned up. Not so at Landa! I live playing here but getting tee times are very difficult

The greens were in really good condition. The fairways are starting to burn out due to the hot weather the last week. Still 9 out of 10

Enjoyed golfing a Landa Park. The staff is friendly, the amount of money to play is perfect and the course is beautiful. I would like to know how I can get a tee time in early morning hours.

I love this course, just the right amount of challenge. But for rounds later in the day, they could use a ranger or marshal to keep the pace of play going. I played on a Friday afternoon and waited on almost every hole for the group ahead of me, and sometimes for more than one group.

That is my only complaint.
