March-Good condition
Early March round in beautiful weather (high 70s). The course is in good early season condition. The bunkers remain closed. But the tees, fairways and green were in good form. The greens were putting true and rolling fast for March. The course had a lot of issues with bumpy/burned greens and fairways last year. Hopefully, they’ll hold up better this year and so far, so good. Pace of play was awful (2.5 hours+ to play 9) but it was Saturday and packed! The course is always worth a play though and the staff, facilities, etc are great. It’s a 5 star course when it’s in good condition and the bunkers are kept.

Great Course/ But they cancelled our tee time really late and with no notice
This was a very fun golf course. The layout is one of the coolest and most fun I’ve seen. But three friends and I had a tee time through Golf Now booked days in advance for Saturday morning, and they just randomly cancelled it on Friday night, so it’s like why do you even book tee times through here if they can just cancel it whenever they want to. It was very frustrating. I do want to come back here though because when I played it, it was a super fun and challenging course
This course has the Wow Factor
Course is on a reclaimed strip mine. Course has large elevation changes and terrific views from the higher points. The conditioning is superb. This course is a must play and worth the effort to get here.
This is a beautiful course! The fairways and greens are super! Friendly staff!
Let me start by agreeing with some of the negative comments about the bunkers need for attention. This is the only thing keeping me from giving the course 5 starts. Some could be eliminated because they are not in play and those that are in play need to be top priority for making this one of the best public golf courses in the country, it’s is that good! I’ve played in nearly every state and this course is far above most public courses except for the bunkers. The pace of play is a bit slow at times and that could be remedied by having rangers that would in a friendly manner inform slower groups that they either need to skip a hole or let others play through. Don’t believe the negative comments about this course or the staff, this is a great course and will not disappoint!

Beautiful course
The course is in good shape. The only thing the bunkers are in very bad condition. The greens and fairways are very nice. It would be great if people would fix their divots on the greens.

Hard Times
I have played this course several times in the past. I had high expectations but was let down to find the course lacking in many ways. many of the fairways were drenched however the weather had been perfect for a week. Greens had several bare spots in them as well. Tee boxes were good as usual and the staff as well as the restaurant did not disappoint.

This used to be a gem for the state of Kentucky. Not sure if it’s funding or lack of available labor but the course is in terrible condition. Staff still as super friendly as always.

It’s been better maybe it just wasn’t their day.
First hole was closed. Greens need work. At the turn tried to buy beer and food but no one came when rang the bell 3 times by me and another customer. Water coolers on course were empty and the ones that did have water had very little and it was not cold.

Terrible Golf Course
Use Golf Now all the time, this golf course is terrible. WORST in Eastern Kentucky and there are a lot of not great courses in E.Ky. Stay away, lots of better places.
Listen, the course was in terrible shape and not only the course but the staff was incredibly rude! They treated us as if we were teenager out partying. Not the case. And, maybe if the staff would work on the course with their time instead of harassing the paid golfers. Never recommend or well visit it again. Please remember this is located in prestonburg Ky!

Challenging course but in rough shape.
The course is a nice layout but it’s in pretty rough shape right now. None of the bunkers are playable and there are spots in the fairway that are bare and play like hard pan. I was disappointed but got a “hot deal” so it wasn’t as bad.

Great course
Great course with employees that were Awesomely friendly. Starter was very informative and helpful. Many of the sand traps were on the rough side (unhittable) and could definitely use some sand in them, Although understandable with the rains we've had the last couple years, and it would definitely be a 5 star course. I would highly recommend this course for an all around enjoyable outing.! 4 and 3/4 stars is my overall rating..

This course is not worth the money
Drove almost 2 hours one way to play this course because the images online show an amazing looking course. However that was not the case today the sand bunkers might as well have been concrete and the fairways had so many bare spots it crunched when you walked across it.
