I was disappointed that when my party showed up to clubhouse to play, we were informed that we had to wear collared shirts. NO signs, no notice on the facebook or webpage or any other notice was provided showing this rule. I was not happy that i had to drive all the way home to get a shirt OR be forced to buy a over priced shirt from the clubhouse.

We just stopped here play this course In Kentucky to cross off that state off our list; very happy that I selected this course. Would love to play it again and hopefully it didn’t rain recently.

New management I think
They are making improvements to the course. Which is going to be nice when finished. The new carts with working GPS and range to center of green. Is a good improvement.

Course being improved!
Played in a large scramble yesterday, and was pleased to see so many improvements being made. The course is soon to be reversed with #10 becoming #1 hole. Finally see some of drainage problems being solved and the greens were really good.

Great greens
Greens were true and very fast, especially for this time of year. Fairways were wet, but still in good shape. Great layout and a challenging course.

Fun, challenging course.
This was my first time playing this course. The front 9 was closed for aeration so everyone was playing the back 9. I am sure that, at the height of the season, this course is in excellent shape and fun to play. However, there were quite a few bare spots in the fairways. The greens were in very good shape and very fast. The layout of the course was fun with elevation changes and several blind tee shots. Once you get used to the course I'm sure it is quite a bit easier than what I initially found it to be. I do look forward to playing it again.

Flood effected conditions
Always nice course, flood rains hurt fairways and bunkers. Need to get to work on bunkers and fixing flood damage.

In need of care!
This course has really run down in 2022. Fairway have so many dead spots and the weather had to contribute to the lack of mowing. I mean it’s really neglected from 6 years ago. What use to be bunkers need to be filled up and sown is grass, the greens are being mowed way too close. This is still a course with great potential and can regain its great beauty if changes are made.

I played this course when it first opened on a regular basis. It was very sad to see the current condition of the fairways and greens. the bunkers are now grass. It was also cart path only, which tremendously effects the experience playing this course. At it’s prime, this was one of the best courses in the state, hopefully it turns around and doesn’t continue the decline.

Stonecrest is going downhill.
Had an early tee time but there were no range balls available. They have almost completely lost the fairways. Brown, dead, huge black spots and tons of huge, non-repaired divots. The GPS on the carts haven't worked all Summer. The water coolers are never filled and there's no beverage cart. The "sand traps" have no sand in them and worse, some have standing water and balls can be lost.
The one positive are the greens are in pretty good shape. The are decently fast and roll true.
Used to be one of the nicest courses in the mountains but is definitely going downhill. Sad to see.

Burned to a Crisp!
Right now, the fairways and even some of the rough are scorched! The greens and tees are in pretty good shape. Hopefully, the fairways will recover soon. The bunkers are closed and would probably be best to convert to grass. It’s still a good course though and always a challenge.
