About
Ridgeview Ranch is a Jeff Brauer design that opened in 1997. It’s friendly to the average golfer because there are rarely forced carries of water or sand to reach the large greens, making short approaches good candidates for easy ups and downs.
The design rolls through hills and trees, incorporating two creeks that come into play. The fairways are average-sized and flat, although there are a few surprising elevation changes for this flat part of north Texas. The course rolls through a housing addition and some of the holes are very tight.
Nos. 7 and 11 stand out in particular. The 7th goes 161 yards over White Rock Creek to a sloping green. No. 11 is tough because is plays well over 400 yards uphill into the prevailing wind.
Other notes: Carts are mandatory on weekends before 2 p.m. The cemetery next to the No. 3 green has graves dating back to 1800 and a historical marker to commemorate the settlers commissioned by Stephen F. Austin.
Getting there : From Dallas, travel north on the Tollway and exit Spring Creek. Turn right and drive 5 miles to Independence. Turn left and drive north to Ridge View Dr., then take a right and the course is on the left.

Nice layout
Staff was very friendly and the course is a nice layout. Fairways were in ok shape but the greens were in sad shape. Tufts of different grass all over the greens. Green conditions don’t match the cost of a round
Fun course
I saw reviews complaining about the greens and they did have some weeds and spots that were rough, but lots of courses had issues after the freeze. Open fairways which are nice.

Expected Better
Bunkers were dry with no sand. Greens had weeds on them. Overall was not happy with the course.

Course & greens were in great shape. Cart girl was pleasant. Had to wait for 2-some in front of us inly a few holes.

Good layout
Good layout of a course. Didn’t like that the range was closed and the greens had some weeds on them. But was a decent value for the money as it is a great layout.

Greens need some work
The greens are in rough shape. I assume from the freeze earlier in the year. They are very slow and have some bare spot.
Overall a great layout! Love the Track Man System!

Bad Greens and Lots of Ground Under Repair
Unfortunately, for the price I paid for this round was way too much considering the shabby nature of the greens and many areas of ground under repair.
No water on the course unlike other area courses.
Once was a course that was maintained. Will not play it again.

Greens a little rough, but great course
Front nine greens were a little spotty, but back 9 far more consistent. Challenging but fair layout <4:30 pace of play.

Terrible greens
Greens were abysmal. Weed sprouts and dead patches all over the greens. 3-5 ft putts were virtually unmakeable due to the ball bouncing all over the place.
Back for second time
Enjoyed playing this course last week for first time so came back again . Greens have improved but still the odd bumpy patch but doesn't spoi the enjoyment of this confidence building course with wide fairways and no really nasty water just a couple of small creeks :-) All staff are friendly but special cal out for Jimmy as going above ad beyond in chatting with you before and after round.
