Golfer Reviews
Good golf course for the price
Very good for the price. Course layout is pretty good with alot of holes on hills and slopes which makes it a lot more difficult and rough is deep rough.
Practice nets are a bit of a mess with holes and not well kept.
Overall good for how cheap it is and good to Practice on
Very long
Bunkers need big time sorting. Best treat as GUR.
Greens suffering. Need water
Picturesque but lacking
I've visited Ash Valley and few times now. It's close to me and reasonably priced.
However sometimes you get people checking you in that may need some customer service training. My golf now booking wasn't found on the system even after showing my booking reference etc.
Club house is just a room with some tables and chairs in it. A proper pro shop with some merch wouldn't go a miss, driving nets are so badly damaged it looks like post nuclear war abandoned golf course type feel to it. Driving range is in the middle of the first and last hole which is also pretty basic. Also barely any buggies even with it being a very challenging walk up and down hills.
When you play the course the views are lovely. But some of the greens are like fairways and the rough in some places just swallow your ball even when you see where it went.
Overall it's a 2 or 3 star course with loads of potential to be great. New clubhouse needed and new facilities with more effort on green keeping and making the course nice
Very hilly and long course.
Course, very hilly and greens like glass in dry conditions especially as virtually none are flat ! So tricky to say the least . Not played in a lot of years ,but to be honest not much has changed. Payed £17 for round and on a Sunday that is good value. However would not pay £30 plus as there are better courses out there . Facilities pretty good with nice little club house that does food so all good there.
Nice Course
Very interesting course, with. some interesting challenges, nestled in between the houses.
Good value for money. Greens a bit long, bunkers unplayable
You get what you pay for
It’s a cheap course and it’s ok for the price but they really do need to cut the grass and maintain it better. No takes in “bunkers” but for £22 I can’t complain.
