The Courses at Watters Creek - Traditions Course

I want to start by saying this is the first post that I have ever made and I am only making it because of the terrible customer service and total disregard for COVID 19 concerns I experience today. After making a tee time a week earlier, arriving for that tee time, paying, practicing and arriving at the first tee box I was informed that I would have to double up in a cart and ride with a stranger that I had never met. I had already been given a key to a cart that I paid for and was set up to ride by myself. Normally that would not be a big deal and I have done so a million times before before Covid 19. Right now with the rise in cases and me not wanting to come into contact with somebody that I had never met, when no one is wearing a mask on the golf course and social distancing is impossible in a golf cart, I declined to do so. I was given no other option except for riding with a stranger in a golf cart for four hours with whom I had never met or I could take a refund and leave. I chose to take a refund. I have an infant child and medically fragile elderly family members that I did not want to potentially affect with all of the Covid numbers rising At this time. Golf has been a safe haven for people wanting to get outside during COVID-19 and socially distance properly. It was disappointing to waste my time that morning. Had I been informed at any time while making the tee time or during the 30 minutes I was there before arriving at the first tee box that something like that was going on I would have made other arrangements or even walked. I will never return to this golf course even after Covid is over because of the lack of caring, poor customer service and total disregard for someone uncomfortable riding with a stranger for 4 hours. This could have been handled much better and I hope it is not something you have to deal with.

Always enjoy playing this course. Someday I’ll birdie that 6th hole....I wish.

Played the Traditions Course at Watters Creek on a Friday. It was a great round. The value of the course is excellent and the course conditions were very good. The variety of holes was good for all levels of play in our group. It had been a long time since I had played Watters Creek and I will be back sooner than later.

Course didn’t give me a very good first impression. Tee boxes were in average shape. The fairways in my opinion weren’t in great shape. Either it’s the way the grass is or something is messing up the grass out there. The bunkers which I did not find, praise the Lord, seemed to be in good shape. The greens were faster on the course than they were on the practice green. Not by much, but you’ll notice the difference in the first couple holes. For those who intend to walk this course I strongly discourage it!! You won’t make it all 18 lol. Front nine is tight and not forgiving, it’s nice to have course knowledge here. Plenty of places to donate golf balls to creeks, trees or ponds.

I was impressed by the practice facility, but all around I didn’t enjoy the course very much. I notice a lot of 5 stars, but genuinely it doesn’t deserve 5 compared to other courses, cheaper courses at that, in the DFW area

We were highly concerned with the coarse COVID management when pairing up with none house hold members. We booked a 3-some and were advised at the coarse we were paired with a single (not a part of out group) which was fine with the exception of the riding situation. We we told by coarse staff (Ron) that one of our members would have to share a cart with the single. We advised Ron that we were not comfortable with that and we would need an additional cart. To which he told us “No” we could not have an additional cart and if we were uncomfortable, we would have to take a cart with a divider and still share the cart. We even advised that we would pay for the addition cart, but were met with a strong “No” again. Therefore, we were forced to have one of our group walk because we were not allowed to purchase a 2nd cart. Very concerning in the mist of a pandemic and the fact that there were an abundance of carts readily available.

I liked pro shop staff's friendliness and service.

Despite of rain, the green condition was really nice with moderate speed.

Whenever I play here, I feel comfortable,challenging and satisfactory,No Cons.

Watter's Creek has the most complete facility. The best practice complex in the DFW area, an amazing championship quality course and some of the nicest staff anywhere.

I have played The Traditions @ Watters Creek since it was remodeled a few years back and I have always thought that it was a great value. This time I brought some out of town friends and they thought it was a fantastic course for the dollar. I would recommend paying here, but beware of the intimidating 6th hole. It is tough, but fair. You just have to hit 2 really good shots.

It's not a course for beginners. Course in good shape. Pace of pkay was good.

First course I've played that hsd a roll-down plastic screen between driver & passanger, if you were to share the cart with someone.
