Be aware of wet weather

Played the front 9 of this course a couple of times now. Overall a very enjoyable course to play, lots of challenging and interesting holes. However played after a particularly rainy few days and the greens struggled to cope with the water. Hoping to play again on a dry day!

Great course set in lovely countryside. A range of challenging holes, good length, plenty of trees demanding straight drives.

Nice little track

A nice little course, some unusual features with shared tee boxes and holes that cross, only issue with layout is the occasional long walk to tee boxes, especially back from the 5th green to 6th tee which is almost the length of the hole. Plays longer than its length due to doglegs but was overall a good course if you're in the area.

Relaxed round of golf

Picturesque golf course, fairways in good condition, greens slow and light rough too thick just off fairway. Several tee boxes a bit close together.

Layout of holes excellent

First time playing badgemore, on holidays from Dublin, course was very well kept you could easily distinguish fairways from rough the from the tee. No straight up and down holes , plenty of dog leg left and right holes , not all about power off the tee box a truly great challenge , wouldn't look out of place next door to the royal Dublin or killeen castle .only downside like any other course they don't inform you prior to booking that the greens have been pole forked only disappointment

Top pay and play course

Over the last 18 months we've been making a point of playing as many courses we can in the general Berkshire area. However Badgemore has become our 'go to' course when we simply want high quality golf at an affordable price.

The course is well maintained, interestingly laid out, a fair challenge for people of all abilities. Not too long, not too short. We've never had issues with pace of play, never had to use temporary greens or tees. It's just a very high standard for the price.

The club house is a very traditional and beautiful building. The sort of place that is a popular wedding venue. As such it's not exactly welcoming for the casual golfers that want a couple of pints after a game and to watch some sport. But that's the only downside I can list.
