Barnehurst Golf Club

Haven't played here since it changed hands . The fairways were good but a lot of the greens were not in good condition. A lot af this I put down to people playing it as people don't seem to bother repairing their pitch marks.

Nice local club, fair course, would love to play there more but pension doesn't stretch that far, wish the membership was cheaper.

The course is in a bit of a state all the tee boxes are ruined and you cannot place a tee! Three tee box’s are just sand and dirt with no flat ground to take your tee shot!

Rough is far too overgrown and most of the greens are ruined with massive divots and dead grass

Absolutely unplayable, don't suppose they do risk assessments down there !

Was a birthday treat for my 16yrs son,

1st time there, was looking to give him something a little more challenging, we could just about stay on our feet, luckily before the bells,

The course is a maze and if you play make sure you go with someone who’s played before. The tee boxes were in poor condition and the tees supplied looked like they had been chewed on so had to sometimes hit the ball of the deck.

Other golfers had no consideration. Was on the green on a par 3 which was roughly 120 yards long and the group behind started playing, ended up getting their ball and throwing it in a bush just to slow them down.

No pro shop and on the driving range you can’t even use a driver.

Will be playing elsewhere next time

Very short course with a handful of ~250 yard par 4s, but conditions are solid. Tees are a bit worn but pleasantly surprised by the quality of the greens and seems to be improving each time I've been there. For the price it's fairly hard to beat in this area

to start we tee'd off and already had two pairs of other golfers behind us as the teeing off times were booked far to close together the group behind us had a tee time of 2 minutes after us. This was continuing all the way round the course near enough cueing three pairs deep at almost every hole me and my friend decided to leave after the 6th hole as other golfers began to verbal abuse us about the length of time it was taking for everyone to play.

the course is rather overgrown with only one groundsman seen with a petrol lawn mower which would probably be good for your home garden. Bushes and trees overgrowing everywhere making some shots impossible without going into or through them.

Bunkers with next to no sand in them, tees were unlevel and absolutely destroyed on some holes.

I have emailed American golf barnhurst on the 26th after we had left and haven't received any replies which I think is awful for such a big company/business

A bit muddy at times, the greens were not perfect either but very good for the price!

Poor tees and inconsistent greens. Have the bunkers ever been raked ?

Only thing I could say is that the course is very dry. Could do with watering some how, other than that all good

Good, enjoyable course. Very tight on a few holes so can be challenging. Good range of holes as well.

Very Busy since re-opening and if not a member you need to book a tee time online no more turn up and play.

Grass and greens were tidy but the bunkers were still poor and as stoney as they have all ways been

Course is great value but very easy and simple.

Low handicappers might get a little frustrated

Not much in facilities either so just don’t expect too much than a pitch and putt

The course is well kept but not long. A nice test for a beginner or if you want a quick round

I had a great time playing here. The course is actually quite challenging especially the first and the 4th 5th hole. The fairway is pretty solid, i dont know about you guys but i prefer a hard fairway compared to soft divot-y shot. so this is quite subjective. the staff is super friendly. so no issue here. the crowd playing here is also quite a friendly bunch. Im not gonna complain too much about the greens, i think its worth what you pay for.
