Good course
Hadn’t played here in ten years or so and didn’t know it was open for public play on golf now
Glad we tried it! Course was in good shape, fairways and tees were good, greens were pretty good with some greens a little spotty
Greens were firm but held shots and putting lines were true. Will
DEFINITELY BE BACK!!
Nice course
Course coming back nicely from winter grass,, fairways, bunkers, and greens in good shape. Lots of drinking water for hydration. Enjoyable day, except for the HEAT.
Private course feel , look, and difficulty.
Good conditions, lots of trouble, well bunkering, OB in play... This course is not for a novice golfer.
As a twosome we played the pecan 9 in 90 minutes. Yes, the head pro gave us a tee time for the grove 9 2 hours later. We arrived at the starter and he got flustered that we played so fast. Never in the 470 courses I have played in my life have I been admonished for playing too fast. Strange. I guess this is how it is at a private 27 hole facility that issues tee times for your second 9. So for you GolfNow people keep this in mindwhen playing your first 9.
I loved the course. Instead of playing the grove 9 for our second 9 the pro was nice enough to let us play the plantation 9. That was the tightest stretch of 9 holes I have ever seen. Except for the par 5 9th leave your driver in the bag!!! Very tough.
Great Value for the money
We were welcomed nicely by the pro shop and even nicer by the marshal when we checked in. The course is in much better shape than the last time I played it a few months ago. The greens in particular are in much better shape but are slow. Overall we enjoyed our round and plan to return.
What happened to Peaco Grove
I was very disappointed with over all condition of the course. The fairways and rough were covered with twigs a branches. The greens were horrible and the teeboxes were spotty and poorly kept. I was not expecting this. At best this course deserves 2 stars. The only thing that was in reasonably good shape were the sand traps. The course was in shut bad shape I stopped playing after 9 holes and booked a round on another course.
I played this course 3 years ago when it was still a private course and the course was in much better shape. Unless things change for the better I will never play there again.
Not Impressed
I wasn't impressed with the course, but that is largely because the greens are horrible. The rest of the course wasn't bad. Even though it rained the day before, the course wasn't too soft and the bunkers were in great shape. Tight course which will penalize bad shots, but if you're a straight hitter, this course can be had (if they ever get the greens in decent shape).
Great course layout and great people in the clubhouse too. Definitely will come back for another round!
Good Course
Played Pecan to Grove today. The Pecan 9 tee to green was in great shape however the greens were not very good. Greens have a lot of crab grass growing on them made putting very difficult. The grove nine was in much better shape, greens had little crab grass, mich better reads and rolls on these greens. Today the pace of play was slow, tournament going on made the back nine drag! Overall a good day of golf!
Course needs work
I played this course 3 weeks ago snd it was in good shape. I therefore brought out 3 friends so I vouched for its conditions. To our disapointment half of the greens were filled with weeds and were extremely lumpy. I couldn't apologize enough to my fellow golfers for vouching for the course as someone clearly dropped the ball on one side of the courses greens. I would even consider asking for a refund and just may.
Coming along
The work put into the course is beginning to show by late spring should be in good shape.
Bunkers are really nice.
Fun course
This course is solid, love the 3 different 9’s. Greens have crab grass growing on them which makes it putt and pray. All in all fun course.
Pecan Grove
Golf course was in very good condition with the amount of rain that the area has received and the lack of sun for the past couple of weeks Good grass coverage in the fairways and the greens were good and fast.
