Brookmans Park Golf Club

Fairways feeling the summer a bit like everywhere else but everything else in really good condition. Low scores!

Although quite open in places, lots of little hazards and holes that make you think. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the course was in lovely condition. Not a lot of sand in the bunkers which was maybe the only downside but a great course with a lovely old school clubhouse which served a great breakfast nap! Will be visiting again for sure.

Friendly staff, decent half way house and a well thought out course. Would recommend

Surprised that they’d allowed buggies on a course that was in many places waterlogged

considering the amount of rainfall recently, I guess the course has held up quite well. Greens were running true (if understandably slow)

Really like the layout of this course - halfway house always worth a visit.

Note that the practice green does not drain well so not much use at the moment as a representation of the course greens.

Positives:

1. Course in great condition which is quite hard with the summer we have had. Greens were quick with a few bobbles owing to some renovation work.

2. Good challenging course. Hazards in challenging places, feels a longer course than it is showing good design.

3. Staff in club shop incredibly helpful and polite.

4. Members all very friendly, saying hello and generally smiling

Things that could have been better

1. Some of the greens were a bit bobbly, probably as a result of renovation work. Still very quick though.

2. They could do with a driving range. There are practice nets and a short game area, but it would be nice to be able to have a proper warm up before going out.

3. Bar staff were fine but not in keeping with the overall friendliness of others.

Overall - Great course, great value for money and well worth a visit!

We played the course on the 16th of August as a golf society and i cannot praise the club enough the whole day was spot on from the moment we got there.

We paid seventy pounds for breakfast lunch and a round of golf on one of the best courses in the county.

The course was first class as were all of the staff from the bar staff to the waiting staff at lunch down to the management and office admin team i cannot say enough about this club.

Will definitely be back next year for our golf society and will play again with a few friends during the year ahead.

Great course greens we’re playing 11 so seriously Quik nice long par 4s and some fairly tight fairways one of the harder courses Iv played

Its conditions at the moment is fantastic.A difficult course but enjoyable .

I've played there before and found the greens not the best .But yesterday they were really top class .And fantastic to play on.

Loved this course. A nice challenge on all holes, great conditions given the rain and a great sandwich in the clubhouse.

We had a 2 ball and it was great, the staff in the clubhouse made us very welcome and the food was lovely.

Course was in great contrition for the time of year, the pro was extremely helpful and friendly, I would highly recommend this charming club for a very good round of golf. We will defiantly be back
