Chartham Park

Normally too expensive for what it is, priority given more to the fitness centre than the golf club. Was under going a lot of work in and around the bunkers, re turfing going on, we were not made aware until we teed off, so could only play 16 holes, but due to slow play we ended up playing 14. Not many interesting holes, some of the tee boxes poor.

Holes 1–3 were closed and the front nine was basically a construction site. There were big trucks everywhere moving soil and constantly beeping, which was not only distracting and ruined any sense of peace, but also felt unsafe. I wouldn’t have wasted my time or money if GolfNow or the club’s own site had made this clear (it still shows “Club Status – All facilities are in use”).

That said, the staff were very friendly, and it didn’t feel like a coincidence that both the men’s and ladies’ captains were out on the course chatting with golfers, making a real effort to be welcoming.

I’d be keen to return in a year or two once the works are finished, as the course should be fantastic then.

Very disappointing. Lots of work on bunkers which we weren’t aware of until we arrived. Hole 6 unavailable. Clearly course is undergoing major renovation. Would not recommend playing until these are finished. Would suggest Golf Now put warnings on courses where problems exist.

Absolutely beautiful course and we will be back. Staff were great too. Holes 1 and 8 were closed for us but didn’t take away from the overall experience. Well done to the team and greens keepers.

Played before so know it’s a decent course. Price wise competitive with similar courses around the area. Disappointed that 3 holes were shut and 1 hole had major works being carried out. No mentions of this from the site or from staff when checking in.

Very disappointed..holes 3-4 and 5 all closed due to bunker repair ..not told this until you actually arrive ..fairways have hardly a blade of grass on them …use to be such a nice course but will not being returning here again

I had forgotten my mobile so considered going home for it but the receptionist accepted my explanation and the fact that I had booked for 2 people at the time I specified.

The weather drizzling rain that sometimes got heavier was the downside and obviously out of the clubs control.

Some of the bunkers are lacking in sand but I understand from a member that work to improve their quality is planned.

Again obviously if you are playing well you wouldn’t know about bunker conditions 😊

The course has a good variation of holes with no two identical.

From the well kept tee boxes to the fairways and slick greens.

Haven’t played here for a couple of years now, but the course has always been well looked after.

Some stunning holes to look at and play on.

Definitely not a beginners course

I have wanted to play here for a long time and finally convinced the lads to play here today. We loved it!

Good condition for time of year/recent weather

I’m a big fan of nizels so figured it would be decent but it was better than I expected and hit my lowest score of the year which was an added bonus.

Will definitely be going more regularly and for £45 it was spot on, couldn’t fault it.

Greens are immaculate. Isn’t always priced that reasonably but if it’s that price to play always I’ll be going regularly

Only used the Spa. Terrible club. Facilities often broken and management team chasing profits without maintaining their services.

Lovely course which was presented in very good condition for early season. There are ongoing improvement works that will only add to the overall appeal of the course.

We played as a a two ball but were behind a four ball so were somewhat slowed down to a 4 hour round but all in all this didn't detract from the enjoyment of the round.

Chartham Park has a very good layout and the water hazards need to be avoided to keep your score on track.
