The course its self is laid out quite well its a shame its let down by lake of care an maintenance.

The bar was closed when we finished at 4:30!! You can use the hotel main bar but not signed and lack of staff meant a wait.

Stil suffering from winter, some patchy fairways and lots of the trees have been removed since my last visit. Tee boxes in poor condition on some holes.

It’s a great layout though so I’d suggest wait until we’ve had a dry run.

It's well worth coming best to come in the week not to busy. both fairways and greens are in good condition

It was relatively empty today so pace of play was great … but muddy in parts x

The course was waterlogged and probably should have been closed. But I can tell that is lovely and woukd be brilliant when drier. Will definitely revisit in the spring

Course in good condition despite the amount of rain we’ve had. Was boggy underfoot but that is no fault of the course

Its a great course, worth the 50 minute drive, played here for the last 2 weekends in a row and whilst there was horrendous rain one weekend the course drained well then it rained for a week and the course was boggy but definitely not the courses fault. Absolutely love the course.

The course condition in Winter is bad.

The green is condition is also not good.

The course layout is challenging and I think it worths playing in summer.

It’s muddy even for the non rainy week in Winter.

Staff in pro shop is unfriendly.

Overall experience is not too good.

I was skeptical playing here in the winter as I had seen some bad reviews from last year, the ground was firmer than the last three places I had played peak winter and was impressed with the drainage here, the fairways were in good condition. Considering the price was a bargain. The course layout was a bit difference with some thought having to go into you lay up shots, challenging for your first time round but makes you want to go back to play again.

Overall very good for winter and I’ll happily go back.

Very good value at £35. Interesting layout with some lovely holes. Course in very good nick. Great bar in hotel.

Wow, what a hidden gem and personally, I think is under priced. Yes, bunkers need raking and a few pitch marks but I think this is more representative of the price point and client it therefore attracts rather than a poor reflection on the course.

Wonderful layout, off the whites it’s super challenging with tee shots through shoots and very undulating. Strategic course with laying back off tees at appropriate times to avoid chambering into trouble.

Super impressed and with some investment in woodland management, the tees especially will see vast improvement.

Would definitely return!!!!

A beautiful course in a tranquil location. Some of the holes are tight of the tee with a good few places to go out of bound but a brilliant challenge.

Conditions were good given the drought. Greens still soft but everywhere else rock solid. Layout is good with the back 9 being very different to the front 9. Chipping green, putting green, and bunker area all in good condition.
