Chippenham Golf Club

Played a social game of golf with two friends and although the weather could have been better we had a most enjoyable round. The course was in very good condition for November, the greens were exceptionablly good. Only a couple of forward tee positions but overall the course was playing quite long. The Club House and pro shop had a friendly and welcoming feeling. Will definitely play Chippenham Golf course again.

Arrived early at the club in steady rain, as course was empty the pro said we could tee off as soon as we wished.

Course was in good condition despite the recent wet weather. Greens were still a good pace and true.

Local knowledge a distinct advantage on how to play some holes.

In the clubhouse after members were very friendly and sociable.

Lovely clubhouse and restaurant. Lunch selection is as per normal but quality was above standard.

Very good course in great condition, we played on a lovely sunny day and the scenery was lovely. The range and putting facilities are very good. There was a very friendly atmosphere and the two professionals were very welcoming, we even picked up a few bargains in the pro shop. Thanks for a great day.

We really enjoyed our time at the course as it had a bit of everything. As golfers starting out we found the course challenging and that was a great thing, we smiled at the start of every hole. Highly recommended.

he course was quite long and physically challenging. The designer has used the natural features to good effect. I especially liked the 18th where I score a five. We played in the afternoon but the foo available was limited when we got back to the clubhouse. The clubhouse was impressive .

My first round at Chippenham but probably not my last. I played as a single gut got round in 3 hours even though the course was moderately busy. The ground was very hard after the lack of rain and the greens medium speed but true. Ver good value for money

Really liked this course. Great variation of some tricky holes.Left and right dog legs. Short and long par 3's. Well kept fairways, and excellent greens.

Playing this course for the first time, I was exciting to take up a new challenge. Very windy on a sunny spring day, and winter conditions meant mud balls (and still plugging). Every hole had something different, with great views all around from an elevated position. The course is quite long for a non pro, very up and down (hilly). Green had been worked on so not perfect (sandy), but firm. Lots of water hazards and out of bounds makes for interesting decisions with shot selection. Pace of play could be a factor as lots of members playing in large groups. Thankfully we started on the 10th hole, and had it not been first time playing it would have been a fairly speedy round. Look forward to playing on a warm summers day with less wind and perfect greens, at a reasonable price.

First time playingbat Chippenham and i really enjoyed the course. It has a great layout and i loved the tricky Par 3s. Course condition is great for the time of year. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The highlight had to be the greens these were in great condition and the ball just stopped dead on approach shots. (When i hit the green) lol. Cant wait to play there again in the summer when the course will be in even better condition.

I love it here, I travel up from Somerset & play with one of my work colleagues from Swindon.

Ideal location 5 mins from the M4.

The course is varied and quite challenging, you don't get bored playing the same type of holes on this course.

The clubhouse facilities are excellent & modern.
