Croham Hurst Golf Club

Decent parkland course and friendly staff. Ruined by the pace of pay which was painfully slow. Over 4 and a half hours for a 2 ball to get round with a number of us queuing on each tee to play. The greens were also a little disappointing as they were mottled on numerous holes.

Tucked away in South Croydon this is a not to be missed golfing experience for mid handicap golfers.

Like this course a lot. Starts with 2 Par 4's over 400yrd but then the next feel liek an add-on in a limited space. Much shorter and straight forward. Back to the mature grounds for the rest of the round with plenty of trees but generous run out areas and, though need a bit of TLC, well placed bunkers to catch the errand shot. Greens are difficult to read as quite undulating but not too many slopes!! Not one for the high handicapper i.e. above 24 I would guess. Clubhouse retains old charm and car park spaces built for the smaller thinner car!! I like it and will be back

Very nice course. Good level of difficulty for our high-handicap group, with some tight tees mixed with some wide fairways.

Being closed for such a long time during the Covid lockdown has affected a lot of courses, the major impact being the pace of the greens.I'm sure they will get back to normal soonish at Croham Hurst.The course is also busier in the afternoons than I have previously encountered and this refelcts the popularity of golf as a relief from the lockdown and the numbers of those on furlough and working from home who have greater flexibility in their timetables. But this is a lovely course which is well-managed. Still a top destination for me.

For a club so close to Croydon, I thought it’d be a bit of a make shift course, but as it’s south of the town centre it benefits from more space than I expected.

Staff were really friendly, course was well maintained (greens in good condition). Good mix of hole layouts and difficulty.

The club has a large putting green, two nets and a chipping range.

I’ve known about Croham Hurst for some time but never played there before...played twice in a week there now and am booking another round...not a long course but testing all the same for all handicaps...good greens a lovely course I definitely recommend playing there

Would have been nice to keep the bar open until 7.30 otherwise all fine

Course in excellent condition. Interesting and challenging course. Would highly recommend.

Fairways above average, greens in good condition. Tees were in average condition, bunkers were appalling- most bunkers are currently bad - but these were dreadful. Very nice course with a lot of we’ll defined holes. Great value for £15 on twilight rate.

After not expecting too much I was really surprised by it. It’s 18 solid holes in superb condition. Great greens and the fairways still green as well as immaculately cut. An enjoyable good value round.

This was the first time I played Croham Hurst and what a lovely surprise we’ll looked after course with an intriguing layout that will delight all golfers with many courses around the area I would rate this course in my top five now as some great holes

A good course with some challenging holes. Very well maintained. There are 3 short par fours in a field which seemS at odds with the rest of the course but this is not an issue. Staff and members were very welcoming. A good Pro and proshop.

I went on my own for a twighlight round and found friendliness at every turn. From the pro shop before my round to the members on the course to the members in the bar, one of whom ran out to intercept me in the car park after my round to invite me in for a drink.

During my round, I walked behind two members who were on foot, but I could hardly keep up with them, such was their excellent pace of play.

The course was in excellent condition and offers the full range of golfing challenges bar water. If tree-lined fairways are your thing then you are in luck. Luckily, I was hitting pretty straight that day.

The course is also pretty hilly, so there are plenty of great views of the emerging Croydon skyline.

Really well maintained course, greens always in good condition. My only bug bear is sometimes the play can slow down and it was a bit confusing where to be walking on my first time if it wasn't for my GPS app

We had a great game at Croham Hurst.. The course was in immaculate condition all staff were helpful and welcoming. The holes were interesting with the exception of 3 holes which seemed to have been added st a later date. All in all a superb golfing venue.

A lovely course to play. As a one ball hoping to get a quick round in. Sadly got stuck behind a match who needed to concentrate and not allow people through!
