Dodgy start but turned all good
We arrived and there was no record of our booking due to Golf Now and Farlieghs systems not registering email bookings. The guy in the pro shop couldn’t help but said we could wait to see if there was any no
shows around our tee time. The club did give us 20% off our breakfasts. Still no tee time until the South African member of staff saved the day and made a decision which gave us a tee time on the Red and Yellow loops. Course conditions were great Tees and greens immaculate and quick. £43.75 was good value. Would love to see the red posted ditches with water in. Liked the yellow loop better Tight but some great holes.
Lovely club & course not helped by conditions
First time playing here for more than 3 years. Played Yellow & Blue. Preferred the blue. Fairways were rock hard and there must have been a comp as the pin positions were brutal. Keep the ball straight or your in trouble. Course was really windy but there is nothing they can do about that. Gorgeous clubhouse with terrace. Lovely place and worth the green fee in my opinion
Interesting course in great conditon, friendly staff with a modern feel!
Having played golf for over 15 years in the south east and being the first time I have been to farleigh I can honestly say it’s a gem. The course was in a really good condition even given the dry spell, the layout is interesting with every hole having its own feel. The clubhouse is modern and vast with plenty of seating both inside and outside overlooking the putting green and pitching green. I can honestly say the biggest surprise was the average of the people playing golf there, it was full of 20-40 year olds and felt like a very young and fresh vibe. Everyone was polite and welcoming and just had a very nice feel to the place. If it was not 1 hour from my house I would sign up immediately and my own club could learn a lot from farleigh!
Great course, just need a GPS
Really great course no getting away from it. Every hole was in really good condition. Tricky to always know where to go as the tee boxes didn’t have numbers so unless you have a gps or a scorecard it’s tricky to figure out. Was a build up of play a fair bit but overall a really great course. Would definitely go back probably best with a buggy. Feels like a flash club but really great for most levels.
Excellent
Very enjoyable course. Great layout and a good challenge. Hit the fairway and the ball rolls miles. Greens were slick and true.
Enjoyable Course
Inland links styled course, with dry fairways and a constant breeze. Course layout and conditions were excellent and greens were quick and true.
Good off course facilities to use before the round. Played blue and yellow and would like to return one day to play the red 9.
Ideal Golf Day Out
Great welcome, practice facilities and superb course conditions. Cannot fault this golf experience, only my own golf performance. Really enjoyable
Greens are literally championship standard
Welcoming Club
A lovely experience as usual. A great welcome & service and all 3 loops of 9 are a delight to play. A very good golf layout, with tees, fairways and greens in good or very good condition. At under £35 this is good value. Practice facilities are excellent too.
Tuesday 25th March
Course in exellent condition
Unfortunately…poor conditions
Unfortunately had my least enjoyable round at Farleigh yesterday. It would have been nice to know the current course conditions before turning up to play…so that is a lesson learned.
Yellow course closed and hole 3 out of service on Blue course too….not openly discussed when I booked in which was disappointing too. For the price on GolfNow..am not sure we got much value, especially with having to use the red tees.
Shame as normally enjoy a good round here with conditions usually excellent…
Amazing winter golf
Probably the best course in the around Surrey and south London in the winter. It drains so well and after a wet week is still in great condition. Each course (we played red and yellow) has challenging and well designed holes that fit in with landscape and hills. We went out early and basically had the course to ourselves for the front 9 but pace of play wasn’t an issue when it was a little busier either. It’s also great value when compared to others nearby and plays a lot better. Food was also good and clubhouse was full and busy but still space to eat post round. Only small thing was didn’t know about winter wheels for trolleys but is an option to hire so isn’t major drama. Will be back and recommending to my golf mates!!
Lovely course , appalling conditions
As title says .
I have no doubt most courses wouldn’t be in half the condition this was at the time of year. Lovely greens, good fairways with some really sticky patches but it is winter and the weather has been awful.
Looking forward to going back when it’s drier. Nice and open aswell.
Shocking weather for golf
With the recent downpours and generally rough weather we weren’t expecting much, however the course was in amazing condition, no temporary tee boxes and perfect greens. The fog called an early end to our round but the club gave us a voucher to come back, which we’ll look forward to, can’t wait to see the course in the sunshine. The clubhouse is welcoming, accommodating and inclusive, great venue excited to get back.
Great course. Three 9 hole so options for variety. Fairways and green in great condition for a November. Great practice facilities.
