Top off the world, well England
This course is brilliant played twice now and will be back, can’t fault the course and view’s are amazing, if I lived closer I would definitely make this my home course can’t wait to play again
Fantastic course and the day was very warm, course dry and could do with water on the greens. We had a buggie which was a bad decision due to the humps and bumps on the fairways.
Some unique holes on the course which gave for interesting shots.
Fantastic day out
An excellent day spent at Kington. The links style course was in excellent condition. Wide fairways allow for shots slightly off target. The holes were varied and were always interesting. A few blind shots but there helpful markers showing you the way. Greens were well maintained and challenging. Plenty of friendly sheep roaming the course. Players on the course were helpful and friendly and the service and warmth of the staff were second to none. The food was nice and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Breathtaking views and a course to match
Played here at thier pairs open. Course was in stunning condition and posed a real challenge whilst still rewarding good shots. Cannot recommend this course enough. Just pick a good weather day, we played in the dry and not.much wind. I imagine when the wind is up its handful
Heathland Gem
Kington is a cracking course, not long, but with a premium on accuracy! The highest course in England means not many trees but plenty of bracken and gorse, with sheep roaming the course freely. The views from the highest point on the course are fantastic, though on our visit that meant you could see the showers coming! The greens were a decent pace, but with sloping fairways there are not many flat lies! There are no bunkers but lots of hollows should you miss the small greens to keep you on your toes! A bacon roll and local cider finished the day off nicely.
Kington
Millionaires golf course when I played on a Friday
Pleasure to play.
Brilliant course
What a belter of a course. Play it and you will not be disappointed. Greens rapid and true. Views essential viewing. Can not recommend highly enough.
Fantastic day on the course
Absolutely loved the course, super greens, great day, fantastic value, stunning views and fortunately, beautiful weather. Finished off with a cold drink and fabulous food. Thank you Team KGC I will definitely be back.
Fantastic course with unbeatable views.
Played Kington today. You can't beat the panoramic views. The course and greens were in great condition. I was a 1 ball visiting the course and had hoped to find some playing partners. I told the the head Pro that I'd like to be paired up if possible and he very kindly asked the members on 1st the tee if I could join them. They were more than happy to let me join them and were great company for the round. All in all I couldn't have been happier with friendly Pro, friendly members and superb golf. Will definetely play again when next in the area.
Stunning hidden gem
This course has more character than some of the best in the country. Superb greens , and undulating fairways. On a clear day you’d be hard pressed to find better views on any course anywhere
Very Lucky
Going to be honest is closest course to where I live however considering rain Herefordshire has had Kington is still in great condition.
You will not find a dryer course around and the greens where ridiculously good for December.
If you visit Herefordshire for golf Kington is an absolute must.
Another great day at Kington
We try to play here once a month, stunning views today and a strong wind that added a degree of difficulty. Ferns have been cut back so a little so easier to find errant drives, greens quick and rarely flat, local knowledge definitely a bonus. Clubhouse and pro shop always welcoming and friendly. Good food and drink selection with a great view of the 18th, a par 4 that is driveable if you can get the right landing point(did it for the first time today but then 3 putted...). We'll be back soon.
TGIF Golf Boys outing
The course was in excellent condition, greens fast and true, fairways well drained and tidy good signage and the weather was kind. An 8mph wind was pleasant and kept you cool at the top of the hill whilst the sun was in full force, lots of interesting holes which you had to plot your way around. The gorse and ferns were well manicured but if your ball went into them was impossible to find which was understandable. The burns around the greens was a good feature and the absence of sand was a relief, the undulating fairways did prove hard to negotiate if you had electric trolleys but again was a feature of the course. The clubhouse was well stocked, the staff and members friendly. The cost was excellent value for money.
