My favourite course in Wales

I have played the course 10+ times and it is the 1st course I book when we come on our annual Welsh trip.

The course is always in great condition and everybody at the club are so friendly. We have 18 people on tour and every person loves playing this course.

If you have never played it then I would highly recommend you go and play as the course, the views and the Team are all great.

Stunning Day Out

Arrived early, met by the secretary who welcomed us. Picked up cards and went for coffee, only to find out clubhouse being refurbished and nothing available. Decided to just go out and play. Course was in excellent condition with fast true greens. Spectacular scenery and beautiful sunshine although very windy. Would definitely play here again.

Brilliant Course

We absolutely loved it, a cracking course with a great variation of holes. Excellent views, top condition of fairways and greens. Just a shame to have accidentally played on the open weekend as it was seriously slow playing.

We’ll absolutely be back on a quieter day!

Great course!

Second time playing this course, played last year on a family trip to mid-Wales. Even better condition this year, the greens were absolutely spot on. Cannot knock the value for money. Was behind a society on a Sunday and pace was very slow but it was a lovely day so wasn’t a major issue for us. Actually played again later in the week and got around 1.5 hours quicker. Will definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

Golf with a view

Played here at 4 pm on a Saturday afternoon, it was quiet and we had plenty of time to take in our surroundings,,,,,, the views are simply stunning, the course condition, tees fairways and greens are stunning, don’t be fooled by the measurement and the low slope rating, we brought a stroke saver which helped a little but course knowledge is what you need here if you are to score well, a great and fair test of your golf. The greens truly are some of the best I have played. If you are in the area this golf course should be on your list, just brilliant. Sorry forgot to mention the pro, very friendly and helpful and when we finished at around 8 pm the bar was still open, we were welcomed in with a broad smile, drinks crisps and cake. Well done Llandrindod Wells GC

Only place open - dry as a bone

Two friends and I did a 140 mile round trip as this was the only course open due to the incredibly wet weather we’d had.

To be honest I was skeptical as to what condition we’d find the course as the recent weather had been terrible. Everywhere else we’d called had either closed holes or temp greens, so was delighted when we got to the practice green and there wasn’t a squelch to be heard. Actually saw a golf ball bounce on a fairway for the first time in a couple of months, staff were very friendly, and there was a huge bar area after. Speaking to a couple of members they said it was the wettest the course had been for 10 years, and yet it’s dryer than any course I’ve played since last summer. Would highly recommend, will be back!

#2 inland course in Wales for a a reason!

I arrived with great anticipation as I'd been eyeing this place up for quite a while now, it far exceeded my expectations! 100% worth a visit.

The course was designed by James Braid & Harry Vardon who've got a bunch of Open championships between them. It's nationally renound and is currently ranked the #2 indland course in Wales, easy to see why.

The greens were immaculate, and the fairways & tee boxes

superbly kept. A huge congratulations to the groundskeeping team.

A really challenging, but super fun course, with breathtaking views at almost every turn. Proper variation in the design too. A great mix of long and short par 3/4s and testing par 5s. The bigger hitters will find a few drivable par 4's, (not for me unfortunately). But beware, there are plenty of thick ferns and trees to catch a stray one off the tee.

Hard to say which one is the feature hole, as there were so many. Loads of elevated tee boxes, hitting over hazards and blind second shots.

Fantastic condition for the time of year

Fantastic condition for the time of year, greens were lovely, approaches were superb. Despite all the rain in the previous week we only saw 2 puddles on the whole course. Definitely our go to winter course now
