lightcliffe golf club

played on the 05/09/21 course was in a good condition. It was baked out a bit all the fairways and greens were very hard a lot of run out on both. the greens were fairly good a few of them had a lot of pitch marks on them that hadn't been repaired and were very fast course lay out was ok felt a bit crammed on on a few holes, the pro shop wasn't open so no one was their to confirm our tee time the bar seem to close pretty early so couldn't get a drink after the round. overall its just ok I think everyone should give it a go but don't think I would play there again its not worth the money for a 9 hole course

Challenging course

Challenging course for an amateur like myself, enjoyable however was a bit boggy due to the inclement weather. Only drawback would be some of the members were rude and difficult when trying to get round in a timely manner

Challenging course in good winter condition.

It was my first time playing this course and we had a fantastic day. The 9 holes were all challenging in their own right and the benefit of playing each hole twice certainly contributed to the enjoyment. The course was in good condition in comparison to other local courses for this time of year. We will definitely be returning for another round soon.

Lovely greens

This is a challenging and interesting course with lovely greens.

I wonder at times if the pace if play might be affected by the number of people on the course?

There are also a couple of holes that cross each other and if the course was crowded that might be a problem.

It is definitely worth a visit for non members.

Outstanding!!

The weather was horrendous it had rained all night but the course was in an incredible condition. The staff were friendly and welcoming only issue was the layout and some points was a little confusing but will definitely play here again!

Challenging and interesting.

The greens were beautifully kept. The fairways were also in excellent condition. The course is challenging and varied. It helps if you have played the course previously.

The course was crowded. Play was slow. As some holes cross others it meant you either had to wait longer or stopped other golfers playing. Also being a 9 hole course members carrying on after the first 9 caused further congestion.

Overall it was a positive experience. The quality of the course makes it worth another visit, preferably at a quieter time.
