One of the best around..!
This is a gem of a course, tucked away close to the South Downs. A good mix of holes, with two long par 5’s which offers a good challenge to all. Well maintained, with a half way hut for refreshments. Also has a decent driving range and chipping area as well as a good size pro shop. A little on the expensive size but think that’s more down to not needing additional customers.. would recommend looking out for the twilight hour rounds as the price comes down considerably!
Great drainage
Played here after heavy rain the night before. The course played exceptionally well. Greens were excellent. Clearly the course has spent plenty of money on drainage as we had no surface water and all surfaces, especially the greens and fairways were playing very well after that much rain. We'll done.
Great course
Really friendly staff in the shop and the course was great ! Shame the greens were just updated so naturally bit off but needs to be done. Great course condition, be back soon
Great course
Challenging but also beautiful course with lovely views of Ditchling beacon.
Only disappointment was bar closed just before 7 and we’d finished our round in time to get a drink, or so we thought….they’d cashed up early!
There’s a decent pub up the road though.

Great course condition, probably the best course played YTD! Will be coming back very soon.
Course in great condition spoilt by other players.
The course was playing nicely, Green-keepers doing a great job there, however the pace of play was the slowest I’ve encountered. We had a 2 ball of ladies in front from the beginning who had clearly never played before as they were in jeans, once past those we were stuck with another group of 4 ladies who when on a par 5 we teed off when they were on the green and still had to wait to finish the whole on our third shots, after having to lay up from them taking so long. Unsure who was allowing the dress code to slide on the day, but a sheer lack of etiquette out there that day!
Greens and course in awful condition have
The greens had been recently hollow tined and the ball simply didn’t roll but bounced everywhere. It was impossible to putt correctly. Large areas of the course were roped off because they were waterlogged and bunkers were marked GUR or should have been. All together a very disappointing experience. If we had been told by GolfNow or Mid Sussex GC directly about the condition of the course we would not have played it. We have played on other courses in the area and the rainfall has not been excessive recently but they have dried out completely.. We will not play this course again until we are assured that these problems are resolved.
Nice course despite weather
We decided this was a lovely gem of a course. Mixture of long and short holes, flat but with tricky elements and multi tier greens. Members were courteous and welcoming on and off course and enjoyable experience.
Halfway hut open everyday (accessible via 9 and 12) is full of homemade cakes, sandwiches, bread pudding and the best homemade sausage rolls.
Lovely course in great condition
We picked the perfect day to play, beautiful weather and the course was in great condition. Fairways mowed, fringes challenging but playable, rough punishing. its a course that always looks easy but throws up hidden challenges. Covid restrictions meant we couldn't make best use of facilities but it looks a lovely clubhouse.
