18 holes at Lindfield GC
Course in good condition particularly the front 9 holes, shame that on the back 9 grass cuttings were left strewn about
Booked via tee times, picked 1.04 pm ,as after usual club society players Saturday rounds, no other bookings after us ,which proved great as no one behind us all round enabling us to play freely and take our time.
Made use of driving range, chipping area and putting green pre round as not played for months, giving me best round of golf for over a year as I'd blown away a few cobwebs and not just gone for it and then played poorly.
Greens were in fairly good condition, some tee areas heavily used but ok.
Had played course before but still found difficult to find some tee boxes as some direction markers missing ( think walking from 6th green to 7th tee past others,4th and 16th) etc, so difficult for 1st time course player.
Overall staff very friendly and helpful, good facilities and good covid segregation outside bar area,so could enjoy a well deserved pint.
Will definitely use course again.
Humid day, great course
All in all very happy with the condition of the course. Had been a bit of rain so decided to play bunkers with standing water as free relief. Tee boxes probably need a bit of attention but otherwise very pleasant and enjoyable. Great value for money.
Nice to be back
Staff very friendly and welcoming. The course itself was in excellent condition and the greens gave a very good test. Definitely worth the money.
As much as the course played was in fairly good condition, we didn't feel it had any character or charm.
Just a lot of very same style straight holes.
Bit boring really
Shame as first time we've played here so was hoping to find a little gem.
Sadly not, we won't be returning.
Only found the course via golf now but it was really rather good. Not long but a lovely layout and real value for money.
played many times before more of straight up and down type of course but great value for 18 holes
Good value for money
Good little course. Holes were interesting with plenty of variety. Course is in reasonable condition after the dry weather. Nice and flat but unfortunately very windy on the day.
Would definitely play again especially at £20 for a 13.50 tee time,
Nice course hidden away in a nice piece of countryside
Decent enough place to play golf. Turned up a couple of minutes late for tee time and the club were fine about it (though I wouldn't recommend putting yourself through the stress of teeing off late) although the man teeing off behind us (and taking their dog for a walk at the same time) kicked off which was pretty unnecessary despite the fact that they hadn't got around for the 45 minutes after we finished and stopped for a drink.
Fairways and greens were pretty well kept (when I managed to hit them!). Some of the par 4s and 5s were a bit samey just being in a straight line. Would be a good course to trust your driver which could save you 10 shots on the round.
