Pottergate Golf Club

We played a round on a sunny Sunday evening and it was so good and so quiet, and it’s in a wonderful place too.

Played Pottergate at the weekend, was stuck behind a 4 ball that was in a competition, wasn’t made aware that there was one on before we booked tee time, ruined the round as wasn’t happy with how slow the pace of play was!!

Greens in great condition for the time of year. Fairways wisely protected from trolleys. Tees in good condition. Bunkers dry..... somehow!

Turned up after booking & paying on GolfNow. Club said they had no notification of our booking & couldn’t access our tee time on their booking system. The club explained they can’t get a reply from GolfNow after cancelling their contract which needs sorting by GolfNow. Club people said it wasn’t our problem & we played as booked. Winter rules but greens were superb- even though it was a bit damp.All very friendly & we shot round( 2 of us) - thanks to the 4-ball on the 10th allowing us to play through- in quick time. Had a couple of beers after the game to round off an another great day here as annual visitors. Thanks to all at Pottergate & next time we will book direct with yourselves.

It’s been at least ten years since I played the course and I have to say how excellent the course looked and played.

Lovely golf course. Well looked after and greens are superb and fast.

This course is always a pleasure to play… never too busy, course conditions are 10/10…. Greens are quick and challenging…. Would highly recommend

I first played at Pottergate 6 years ago when my wife was just starting out on her golf journey. Although the layout is essentially the same with two flags on each green to offer an 18 hole experience, there have been some small improvements over that time. The fairways were in very good condition and the greens outstanding, fast and true. I was really impressed with the course which continues to represent excellent value and yet still offers a good challenge to golfers of all standards. And the 19th offers a comprehensive selection of beers and wines to satisfy the thirsty golfer on return to the clubhouse.

Played 9 holes with my son who was visiting from America. We were welcomed at the Club House and were able to start our round shortly after arrival. The course was in very good condition, although the greens were too fast for my liking.

First time playing on the course and very impressed. Greens fairways and tees were lovely.

9 home course with just enough of a difference between pin positions to present a different challenge between the 9s.

Friendly welcome and friendly staff. Nice buzz about the clubhouse as we sat on the patio overlooking the 9/18th - Wednesday roll up competition.

No pro shop.

This 9 hole course is kept in top condition, with the best greens I’ve played on this year.

2 flags on each green make the second 9 just as interesting. Possible to let rip with the driver on 3 or 4 holes and there’s clever use of hazards to protect the par.

Incredibly friendly too.
