We booked a 2 ball and 2 other individual players joined our tee time and we were told we would have to play together. One of the individuals was allowed to bring their young child - this distracted the rest of the players throughout the round, with particular disruption during tee offs and on the green. Wouldn’t expect this for the price paid! Otherwise the course was in great shape and would recommend to those looking for a challenging yet forgiving course.

I played on my own and still enjoyed this brilliant test. Lovely course!

Had a 3.45 tee off, called to ask if there was availability to tee off at 3.00 and was told there was. However, they wouldn’t allow us, as we had booked through GolfNow (which their website directs you to)!...Staff we’re quite rude when I asked the logic if they had space and they said it was because GolfNow was cheaper so I offered to pay the difference (£3 p/p), and was still told no. One of the guys therefore had to leave after 9 holes.

Such a shame as a decent course but absolute clowns in the office with no sense, which means we won’t play there again.

My friend booked this online, what a great course. Some really interesting holes especially the 8th and 13th really need a good long drive to get into a good position for your second shot. Greens true and fast even though it was raining. Very friendly staff allowed us on the balcony will terrific views and sold ice cold beers, what more can you want.

The T boxes could do with some water but for the rest this is a really good coarse

Great layout greens in good condition a challenging course .

Had a great morning with three mates but played in 2 balls due to the current situation

Course was in excellent condition except for the bunkers which were GUR but I am sure this will be dealt with in time

As a past member and ex captain it was great to get back and thanks to Rebecca who helped with booking very helpful and the courtesy call from the club director a few days later just reminded me of the personal touch of a family owned club

Enjoyed the course in terms of layout with some interesting holes. Bunkers were GUR and for this alone the price should be reduced, further more the Yellow tees were almost on top of the Red tees. Not sure why this would be the case?

Good course to play and would like to play again hopefully with the adjustments made.

I played today but bunkers GUR and bar closed due to Covid but facilities look modern and fairways/greens were in great condition

Nice course, bunkers are GUR so not in play and greens were slow. Would definitely play again as it was a very pleasant course.

Played here a lot in the past but not for a couple of years so interested to see how it is getting on.

£37 green fee was taking advantage of the high demand post-Covid lockdown but OK, that is market forces.

However, for that and indeed even a lower green fee, I do not expect the sign on the 1st tee telling us that EVERY bunker is ground under repair! Not surprising when you see the bunkers though, as every one is in a shocking state and no way fit for play. if I was a club member here I would be livid.

What is happening here? The last update on the website dates back to 2012 with grand plans, only some of which have been seen through.

It is such a shame as this is a good course with a great layout and some really challenging holes where ball placement is key.

It was busy during our round (and pace of play a bit too slow) but many will not have left with a favourable impression and will not be inclined to return once the current restrictions ease and there is more tee time choice once again.

Unless the owner gets a grip there is a real danger of this once good course going the way of so many before it.

All bunkers are GUI, greens have not been cut in weeks, the cups have been filled with some plastic dish that is level with the grass, it is almost impossible to hole a put, there are no distance markers.

Enjoyed playing this course today, course was in good condition but the greens were a bit slow. Hopefully they will speed up over the summer. Really enjoyed the back 9, there were a few challenging tee shots.

Used to be a member when this was Elstree and must say has improved dramatically over the years , pace of play was great but was first out but greens and fairways were in lovely condition and have always liked the layout .

Still few areas need improving as some tea boxes very uneven and some paths could do with bit of attention but on the whole a good course , well set out and in good condition !
