About
The scenic ranchlands west of Fort Worth are full of rugged canyons, native wildflowers, and impressive elevation changes, all of which are incorporated into Canyon West’s design. Located atop Parker County’s highest summit, this 1997 18-holer incorporates all of those North Texas Hill Country features and more into its design. Waterfalls, miles of streams, exposed rocks, prairie grasses, wildflowers, and loads of oak, pecan, elm, and mesquite trees highlight the landscape.
Elevated tees offer views of the countryside. In addition to the scenery, golfers are welcomed by generous fairways that make this a fairly user-friendly course, especially given its reasonable yardage of 6,653 from the tips and the fact that water comes into play on only about half of the holes.
Other notes: During the week, the course offers seniors a two-for-one green fee. Walking is not allowed.
Getting there : From Ft. Worth, go west on I-20 and take exit 403. Cross left over the freeway and then make a quick right onto the service road. The entrance is 2.5 miles down the road.

Shape
Course was in pretty good shape. Fairway grass could of been alittle longer, but atleast balls rolled far lol
One of the most Welcoming Courses
We are 3 and a half hours away from canyon west golf club, and have driven to play it twice, one because the course is absolutely taken care of and it shows the hard work they have put into despite the dry weather we’ve had. The other reason is because of how welcoming the staff is. They absolutely make you feel like you are playing at a home course. They helpful and polite in every way. We will continue to play canton west as long as they will continue to have us. Thank you Canyon West!

Great layout - some of the fairways are sketchy - hardpan, etc… greens were bumpy either from aeration and overseed or both.
Great Condition
I have a 14 year old son and he is just starting to play some of these great local courses. We had a great time and the rate is awesome to be able to take him to play.
Fun day with friends
Staff was friendly, course was in great shape. I like the way it’s layer out so you play half in the woods and half around houses. Fairways are forgiving even though there are some precarious sand trap locations. Water wasn’t an issue at all, which always seems to take a ball or two from me. I would definitely play there again. Carts were great too.
Love the course
I gave the lower stars for the fact it looked like the course needed water on the fairways. The layout is fun and challenging. I’m not a great golfer by any means and I still have fun playing with good golfers.
Cliff
This was my first time playing at Canyon West. I was impressed by the course. The fairways and the greens were in really good shape. The pace of play was good.
Beautiful course but terrible fairways
The course was extremely beautiful, really enjoyed the layout and the elevation changes. Greens were great, definitely fast and the course was fun. The only downside is that the fairways were literally like rock. It was easier to hit a shot out of the rough than the fairway. On the bright side you get 50 yard roll outs
Course fairways
Course is fun a great facility. During droughts fairways can become short of grass cause the soil has a lot of clay and water does not absorb into the ground. Unless it is a slow soaking rain. Still a great course. Greens are very good.
This course is fun to play.
The fairways are packed and bare in places account so much play and cart traffic.If you like tight lies you will like this course.
