Canyon West Golf and Sports Club
About
The scenic ranchlands west of Fort Worth are full of rugged canyons, native wildflowers, and impressive elevation changes, all of which are incorporated into Canyon West’s design. Located atop Parker County’s highest summit, this 1997 18-holer incorporates all of those North Texas Hill Country features and more into its design. Waterfalls, miles of streams, exposed rocks, prairie grasses, wildflowers, and loads of oak, pecan, elm, and mesquite trees highlight the landscape.
Elevated tees offer views of the countryside. In addition to the scenery, golfers are welcomed by generous fairways that make this a fairly user-friendly course, especially given its reasonable yardage of 6,653 from the tips and the fact that water comes into play on only about half of the holes.
Other notes: During the week, the course offers seniors a two-for-one green fee. Walking is not allowed.
Getting there : From Ft. Worth, go west on I-20 and take exit 403. Cross left over the freeway and then make a quick right onto the service road. The entrance is 2.5 miles down the road.

CW Review
Great course and great condition. Also great golf carts. I always enjoy playing this one.
A real review
The course was in great condition for the money you play. Don't expect carpet fairways and plush grass all around but for 50 bucks no one should complain. Free bottles of water in ice coolers on every few holes which I thought was amazing! 3 cart girls so they came around all the time which was a plus! My only complaint would be how they send people off. It caused such a back up. They need a marshall out there because the 2 some in front of us and the 4 some ahead of them were God awful and so slow and wouldn't let anyone play through. Almost a 6 hour round! By far the longest round I've ever played.
This course is usually great--BUT NOT THIS TIME!
Granted, we did get a little rain in the recent past, but nothing that would explain the overwhelming length of all of the grass on the course today! It was a real shame not being able to find 4 of your balls due to the grass being so tall. Most unfortunately, 3 of those balls were lost in the fairway! I have no idea what their excuse is, but if this would have been my first time playing here, I would absolutely NEVER play here again. It was quite shameful, and a complete waste of my money! Perhaps you should call ahead, and ask how long it has been since they mowed the grass, before paying to play here.
Course was fun to play!
Great place to enjoy golf with bueno vistas! Recommend this course!
Canyon West
The pace of play was HORRIBLE. If they would group people into 4s the pace would have been much better
The Views
From several tee boxes and greens you can see for miles.
Canyon West
The coarse was in good shape considering most people lost either greens or fairways or both during icemegeddon.
Unfortunately with most people not having golf etiquette anymore they don’t understand anything about golf. Rules, pace of play, not putting your foot print by the hole or when to just pickup and get out of the way.
