Hidden Gem, Not for the Weak...
Very challenging course, tight fairways and many blind shots. One of the best par 5's in Texas right on the Brazos River. Worth the drive and the play.
Cheeseburgers are outstanding!
Need Signage
The parking lot was extremely small, and there are no sign indicating where the Pro Shop is located, bag drop or cart pickup. Had to park on the other side of the lake and walk back across and ask several people where the golf shop or pro-shop was located. Staff was friendly, but did not know how Golf Now purchases worked. Course was beautiful and challenging, but it appears that the staff caters to the members not a guest. If they do not want public players, then they should simply become private.
SugarTree
Always a treat to travel the 2 hours from home to play this gem. I’ll be back
Fun course
The course was in good shape with the normal here and there spots this time of year. Greens were a bit slow, but in good shape. This is a fun course with some challenging situations.
Nice little course to play with lots of blind shots! Lots of undulations in the fairways. Greens are quick but very fair to every player. We will definitely be back!
Sugar Tree Golf Course
Before I went to play there, a friend told me the course was in terrible condition. They were so wrong. It was in great shape. I’ve been playing there for years and it’s always been nice. I always have a great time. The staff are super friendly.. If you’ve never played there, you should.. I drive over an hour to get there and it’s worth it.
Great course layout
Love the layout of this course. Can’t wait to play it when the grass is green!
Staff was great
Went golfing here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. A buddy recommended me to play here and I’m happy I listened. Played one of the quickest 18 holes in a while and course conditions were great.
Super nice female @ the check in counter!
Very kind and informative.
Tough course with many water crossings, ditches and trees!
Cold day!
We were the few and the proud!
Worth the Drive
First time playing here and will not be the last. Made the 1.5 hour drive from Dallas and was glad I did. Great condition and fun to play. Very pretty setting with rolling hills and gorgeous oak trees-very much a Hill Country vibe. Put this course on your rotation.
Greens are all they've got…
This place came highly recommended, no offense to them those folks out and that side of the metroplex are literally salt of the Earth, had a great time with the people that I played with, and staff were fantastic… Course is a t urd, no offense
Great golf. Challenging
All 3 of us had a great time Will definitely come back. All services were great.
Sugartree continues to get better
