Canyon West Golf and Sports Club

This course is a fun solid golf course, only problem was a bump in with rude members. Other than that had a fun experience.

What a great place to play a round of golf. The view is great and the staff were all top shelve. I enjoy playing this course best of all the courses in the area. I shot an 89 but know I should be able to hit the mid 70’s. Just wish it was closer to my home.

Great staff and beautiful views from elevated tees. The tee boxes were in rough shape and the greens have not fully recovered from recent maintenance. All in all, a nice place.

My husband and I really enjoyed Canyon West Golf Course. The staff was friendly, our cart was ready for us and we were told whom we played after. There was a single behind us and he joined us on the first tee, adding to our great day.

Can’t complain, enjoyed playing here as I have in the past, too. Very friendly, relaxed staff. Let me go off by myself when I think I was supposed to play with three other players but I enjoyed playing solo at my preferred pace. Played in under 4 hours playing at my relaxed leisurely pace nobody ahead of me the whole way, and only a couple times did players behind me close to catching up to me. Great Hot Deal price. Very worthwhile course to play, very satisfying for me. Go for it!

The greens were air rated not too long ago. Both fairways and greens. The greens were rough but should be good in a couple weeks. The Pro Shop and Grill area and people are top notch.. I will be back. I love the course and the people in the Pro Shop. It was windy today which added to the challenge. The rough around the greens is thick and challenging you to get up and down.

We all love this course. That being said, I think prior to confirming the tee time I should have been told that the fairways had just been punched, and the greens airieated and sanded. by the third hole we all agreed we should have paid 12 dollars. Very disappointed.

You can tell that the owner is putting in some time and money into this course. We had a great outing today.

Course is coming on strong. Fairways in great shape and greens fantastic as well. Staff is always awesome. Do yourself a favor and give this course a try.

One area of opportunity is the closed bathrooms. Not sure what the issue is but lots of trees and out of view areas to let go I suppose.

In excellent shape and the rain they got today is going to make it even better. It is a diamond in the rough. I play it about a dozen times a year and it is shaping up nicely for this time of year. Go play it!

Strange to see golfers in blue jeans but I guess that's Weatherford. Course is beautiful but very slow and club house would not send out a marshal to speed up play. But over all good place to play for the money.

Canyon West is one of the great courses just west of Fort Worth. It feels like you are in the Texas Hill Country. The greens were in great shape. Very good course for the price. Love the clubhouse/grill that overlooks the course. Highly recommended

Played here the first time in 2017, carts had GPS, fairways, tees and greens were in good shape and grass was well kept. Granted this trip was beginning of spring, but the fairways had bare dirt in places, tee boxes at times required use of the box marked to make a hole to get a tee in the ground. No beverage cart available. Carts all had the GPS either removed or non-functioning,. At our tee time, a twosome was ahead of us, at the tee, still putting on shoes, and when we asked their time they told us the pro shop told them to "just jump in, there's a group of 30 going off at noon and you'll want to be ahead of them". From the back-up on the first 4 holes appears the pro shop was letting everyone out whenever they wanted. Also, found it interesting that mowers were sent out in the middle of the day to cut greens. The bunkers had plenty of sand in most, some were extremely wet and packed, making outs more difficult. Fairways hard with more than average time of year roll, 277yd to water on 13 from Blue tees, I usually drive 220, with rollout to 250, tee shot ended up in water. Either I hit the drive of my life or there was 57 yards of hard roll...

I arrived an hour early and was told that I could tee off anytime I want to, my partner was there and we drove to the first tee and have a great day of golf. The course was in good shape and the greens were great. Looking forward to playing this course again soon.
