Value for money but needs improvements

Course is a good price but needs improvements. Course has great views given the elevation. Be warned lots of hills but this does make it challenging which can be seen as a positive. However the tee boxes weren’t well managed some of them hadn’t even been cut and unclear where the boxes were. Pathway through to hole 3 was overgrown and not marked therefore we had to walk up a steep hill from the bottom of hole to the tee box. Played better courses for similar value so probably wouldn’t attend again.

Zombie’s Sedgley review

I decided to use the driving range in the morning and then have a little game of Golf afterwards, Sunday 9/5/26 the driving range is brilliant, you are on a raised elevated section with the range sloping down in front of you with a derelict white van you can try and hit. It’s even got the Toptracer app so you can monitor all your shots swing speed ball speeds, etc.

After I done the round about 80 balls time to have a round of golf just nine holes, think it total about 2500 yards, with the first T a very nice long wide straight fairway to Green, and then they have signed posted it brilliantly telling you which way to go for the next tee off location, playing in this area is very hilly and views are absolutely amazing. You’ll definitely get a good cardio workout with all the slopes uphill and downhill a very well thought out and carefully laid out Golf Course nice challenging greens that puts even a beginner like me to the test.

Definitely worth playing this Golf Course if you’ve not played it before even though it’s only nine holes it’s still very enjoyable and it’s no way indeed short we can play twice to make it 18

Great value course

MBGA/Sedgley offers a great variety of holes and different challenges. The greens are well kept as are the fairways. And the players seem to respect the course and keep it in good condition, not always the case with similar courses. Great value for money too, probably up there with the best in the area. Me and my mates have played 3 times here and will definitely come back many more times.

New experience

For our first time, at this course, firstly the post code didn’t match the venue and the signage was poor. As no signs mentioned Sedgley Golf centre, the staff were not welcoming and getting information about the first hole

Was like pulling teeth!

We found the course in good condition, apart from the bunkers being hard clay.

The wildlife, on course, was a pleasant surprise.

We were able to find the tees relatively easy and some holes were more for a thinking golfers game.

Overall we were happy with the course and we recommend this course for a challenging 9 holes instead of 18.

Never again

Terrible condition. Price is definitely unreasonable for the state of the course. Won't be back again in a hurry.

Good Course

Hadn’t played the course for 15 years. Only couple of greens let it down. Other than that it was sound.

Awful

It’s like they’ve put all their investment into the range and club shop because the course was in a awful condition. Seems like they haven’t mowed the fairway or the tee boxes in a while. You would drive on the fairway and you would struggle to find the ball as the grass was way too long. The greens were in okay condition but a couple of holes, it was too bumpy. Wouldn’t come again

Average course

Very Hilly Course, not many 150 markers on the fairways, not a lot of sand in the bunkers, but overall not a bad course, could do with maintaining a bit better.

Superb greens

I've played Sedgley more times than I care to remember and it's always been a summer only consideration. but the work that's been put into the course has started paying dividends, the greens are in great condition and they have managed to cut the rough back and kept on top of it which makes it a far more friendly course. a good test of anyone's golf

Far better than expected

So I read a couple of reviews before booking and to be honest wasn't expecting much. As I only wanted to play 9 holes with the Mrs (I know I'm mad) I booked anyway. I was really shocked at how good the course is. It's a difficult little course that will test every aspect of your game. The fairways are good and short but the greens impressed me more than anything. They were immaculate. The driving range is a good size and ideal for a hit before you get out. A great course all in all
