Just a 10 out of 10 easy to book great welcome and a well laid out course. All holes are very different and have their own character. Then retire to the clubhouse for a good selection of food and drink. Well worth a visit.

Wow what a Harry Colt gem. I have driven past this course my whole life and gutted i only just played it now. What i have been missing. The best condition course in the area hands down. Immaculate! Hats off to the green keepers.

Great course design by Harry Colt. Great pace of play and very peaceful. Warm welcome and good patio for food and drinks after.

Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend

I played the week before the Captain's Tournament and the course was in excellent condition. The weather was miserable, cold and very windy. A mixture of wide open and narrow fairways, the greens are challenging with good undulation. Most of the pin locations this day were relatively easily accessible but not all! Highly recommend a visit if you haven't played here. It's easily accessible from the District Line.

No pressure on the 18th as you play back up towards the onlookers!!

The whole course had temp greens, and all par 3 holes werent playable. Would have been nice to know before booking otherwise would have played else where as the temp greens were shockingly poor

Heavy rain the night before, so was a little boggy in places at the bottom of the course near the canal and a few greens had some standing water but it’s that time of year and the green-keepers were out doing what they could. Otherwise, generally in good nick and a reasonably testing, hilly round - quite forgiving fairways this time of year with bare trees but lots of slopes, doglegs and thoughtfully placed pins. Friendly welcome in pro shop and from members on course. Will definitely play again.

Great round at Sudbury. Tee boxes were perfect, fairways too. Greens were fast and a nice challenge especially with the pulpit design, definitely need a longer club on shots you would normally take to put yourself in a better putting position. Would definitely recommend a winter round here to anyone wanting to play a great course.

The fairways are back in fine shape and have recovered from the dry weather in July. Greens and tees immaculate as usual. Autumn leaves make this a great treat at the moment. Very friendly club and the merriment watching others complete the uphill par 3 by the clubhouse is a cheerful feature.

Course layout and undulating fairways and greens makes this course very challenging to play. However, the fairway conditions were unkept - almost bare naked.

Although the course is great the back 9 isn’t open. So still had to pay full price for just playing the front 9 twice.

Yes there was 40 mile an hour winds and there was a very large, leisurely paced Society group holding up play, but it was still an enjoyable day out. Greens in great shape.
