All greens closed!

Having booked through golf now we paid the full geen fees. When we arrived at the course the pro advised us that all of the greens are dead!

If we would have know this was the case we would have booked somewhere else.

The pro advised that had we booked on the course web site we Would have paid 50% less on the green fees due to the state of the course.

Obviously Golf Now are not aware of the current problems on the course.

The pro couldn’t offer us a refund because we paid through Golf Now.

Without the problem it would be a hood golf course apart from the dog walkers an cyclists that regularly appears cutting across the fairways.

Tilgate

Tee boxes awful. Greens need more care.

No idea why 5 people on a hole. And saw people wearing football shirts playing.

slightly hilly, yardtage approx under 6000yds with some tricky holes

course layout is tidy and reasonably maintained. It is an ideal course to play especially in winter time.

Nice Setting, poor facilities

Really nice woody setting here, course can be a bit repetitive. Had many dog walkers, walking across the hole while you are about to take your tee shot. I definitely would not play here again, unless the price to pay (£25) was lowered to about £5, absolutely ludicrous for a course that poor

Fair price. Course still suffering from heavy Rains in the last month

Some good holes. Overall condition suffers from the rains over the last month. Despite a dry week the course was still very wet which made the price fair.

Unforgiving but great course

Really enjoyed the round. Bargain 3-ball price. Pretty narrow fairways mostly, so unforgiving if your drive is a little wayward but I'm used to playing on the South Downs. Very pretty here. Decent bacon sandwich for brekkie and decent cheeseburger for lunch.

Slow play

To be honest the course is ok I played on my own and it took 6 hours to get round. No course martial in place to move flow play. To me all they wanted was as much income as possible so they just loaded the tee times. On theee holes I had three groups in front of me on the same hole. Not funny to be honest.

Good Value for Money.

Ideal course to work off a hangover with nice scenery.

Maintenance needed on a few of the holes, mainly the green. Other than that, this place is a bargain (the beer is decent too).

Ideal for all weathers, but strong grips would be needed on wet days as there are some considerable slopes. Quite a few trees in the centre of a few fairways which makes for an interesting obstacle. Overall I'd give it 4 stars, maybe 5with a little TLC.
