Toft Golf Club

Very warm and friendly welcome from the pro shop. Good course layout that would benefit from more signs showing the way ro some of the holes. Most are obvious, but a couple would make things a bit clearer. Thankfully I only ventured in to one bunker, which I feel needed some tlc and better quality sand. The type of sand reminds me of the type at a municipal course. Overall, the course was in very good condition, as were the greens. Will go back and would definitely recommend.

Lots of challenging holes. A physical undulating course but such fun. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The members are also very friendly and let you through with no worries. The course is well looked after and the greens are superb. Plenty of parking, driving range with grass tees too. 2 practice putting greens and nets. The only thing missing is a club house but watch this space, plans are drawn up for one to be built. This being said, there is a markee and plenty of drinks and snacks available. I’m looking to join a club in the near future and Toft is definitely on my list of options.

I return here at least a few times a year, always a great course to play regardless the weather and always friendly

A great challenging course.

The greens were in excellent condition and the course layout is really good.

Plenty of hills and undulations to make this a great, thinking course.

Golf Now made it affordable but I’m not sure I would pay full green fees.

All staff were friendly and helpful and all members on course were polite and talkative.

No issues being allowed to play through.

Overall, I really enjoyed my day and was made welcome by the staff and members alike.

Highly recommend it.

Played Toft based on both the previous reviews and the offer from GolfNow. I really enjoyed the course. It's hilly so hire a buggy if you need the help getting about but definitely worth the trip. Plenty of different holes to get you thinking about your game, a few bind tee shots too that will require a bit of study to know where to aim.

It had been very dry and the course reflected this but the greens were still very true.

Everyone we spoke to was very welcoming and this appears the norm given the previous reviews. I'd definitely recommend playing here and will aim to do so again.

Having lived in the surrounding area for the last 12 years I had never played at Toft. The course is great for all levels. It’s greens and fairways are well maintained compared to other courses in the area. The pace of play was good, we were a two ball and got round in just over 3hrs. There are a lot of blind tee shots which makes the course interesting, with some very long par 5s and par 4s. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The only downside for the course was a lack of a 19th hole.

Toft is an excellent course. Challenging layout and a challenging walk, but greens were in great condition. Slightly disappointed to be hitting off mats on almost every hole in April but we still enjoyed the round

For first timers the course would benefit from a guide, it was however in good condition, greens had been tined recently and would have benefitted perhaps from a cut. It is that time of the year however. and they rolled well.

The course is quirky and well planned on and over a hill. The hill is relatively gentle with only one steep walk on the back nine between green and tee. Overall a very pleasant experience and now armed with some course knowledge I would hope to score better in future!

All of the staff were welcoming and helpful, with the hotel no longer trading they had an on site mobile catering lady who served excellent food as well as tees and coffee - the home made soup is especially recommended

Booked a hot deal 2 ball for an afternoon tee time and on arrival staff in shop very friendly and made signing in easy. The course was is good condition although the greens had been spiked. I think the course has a great layout with some reward holes.

What a pleasant surprise. The course was in great condition, fairways and greens all freshly cut. A few very challenging holes around the mid point of the round. All staff very friendly. Will definitely try and play here more frequently.

Toft is an undulating an very testing course, but great to play.

Fantastic course very Hilly with sloping fairways and some interesting hole and not as easy as slope index suggests ,a real tester.

Great course. Highly recommend. Pro is very chatty and welcoming. No bar which is a shame.

What a pleasant surprise! The condition of the course for this time of the year was fantastic. Wide open fairways with fast greens and great views, very easy to play and enjoyable, with a couple of tricky holes.

First time playing but if I’m ever in the area again I will be coming back!
