links course (sand and dunes ) 1st time played , played with son . we had good fun taking mick out of each other
Great greens
I found the course ok for a different round of golf you do have to plot your way around at times but fairways have lots of sandy holes and lots of divots, not sure about old bunkers which are now small ponds next to the green and the gulley that you get a free drop from in places.
The greens were excellent lots of slopes and undulations felt like a really great test, enjoyed the round great value but would not want to play all the time good value for money though

Great course
Great course. Quite tight in places. Great views.
Greens awesome. Best I've played on all year 10/10.
First time at the couse. Peter a local member joined me for a few holes. Lovely guy and gave me lots of information (thank you).
Will certainly be back.

Great course
First time we had played here and found everyone extremely helpful and welcoming.
A tough course for high handicappers like me and putting my first shot on the club house roof indicated how my round would progress!!!
Course was in great condition but is challenging if the ball is not hit straight and the rough does not help in finding the ball!! Also deep pot bunkers are not the easiest to extricate one from.
Views are stunning from all over the course and it was a pleasure to play there, aim to return to see if I can get my score lower!!!!
Top Round
Always love playing at the Warren, never seem to have a bad round. The greens are the highlight of this course and are always in excellent condition. Pack a couple of extra balls though, you can lose a few if you're a bit errant.
links
first time playing a true links golf course and it was very enjoyable. outstanding views. if you have not played Dawlish Warren golf course then please do if you get the chance.
Warren
Quite like the Warren. Unfortunately, it tipped down the day before we played. So half the course was closed and some temp greens. But considering the deluge it was really good. Great conditions to play golf. And will definitely play there again.
Great for us!
This has got to be one of the most picturesque places to play golf in the country with beautiful views across the river Exe to Exmouth. The course is quite short for 18 holes but the undulating fairways and proximity of the gorse make it a real challenge.
Members and staff are very friendly. The clubhouse is slightly shabby, but the food and the friendly staff more than make up for the tired decor.
We would recommend it to anyone.
Links course with lovely greens
Chilly weather but the course played well. Greens lush and true. A few fairways were looking a bit ragged with unrepaired divots. Some gorse/undergrowth had been cleared with made some holes easier. Course quite flat so it's an easy walk. Some bunkers are deep/steep so best avoided, although the sand in them is good. Only downside to our play was that I was hit by a ball from the pair following us with barely an apology.
Tricky and interesting
Nice clubhouse and course with good staff
Well worth a visit to golfers of any standard
First time played
Visiting Devon to see my son whom now lives in Dawlish, I took this opportunity to play this course, as I will be in the area again in the future. For a December day, the weather could not have been better, pleasantly warm, although cloudy, I was in waterproof pants, and just an all weather top and v neck woolly jumper, I was well warm enough. The course on the first and last fairways looks a bit worn, but after the first hole, the rest of the course was in superb condition for the time of year, the greens were in fantastic condition, all of them, and putted really well and true. The bunkers though, I only got in 1 of them though, are very punishing and best if you take an easy option to get your ball out. Following my round I had coffee and a sandwich in the club house where I found the staff very friendly, also the secretary, on my arrival, was very nice and helpful. I will certainly return again, I play off 18 handicap and scored 30 stableford point, which I was reasonably happy with playing a new course, also I did not score on 4 holes!!! I can not wait to be able to play again.
Amazing course
Beautiful course with they best greens I've ever seen. Tricky at times but not stupidly long so attackable. Well worth the £14 it cost me for 18 holes always book a tee time because it gets busy and also they best breakfast I've had in the club house will be coming back and maybe becoming a member
Brilliant
This has got to be one of the best courses I have ever played staff are welcoming and know you have booked we had a great day on a 1st class course not to be missed
