Long and narrow

Some tough holes here for anyone with a bit of shape to their shots. Long holes and narrow tree lined fairways.

Value for money

Hadn’t played here in a while. Nice friendly welcome on arrival. Course in fairly good condition. Leaves were a problem due to the high winds recently. As always here the trick is keeping it straight! I’d forgotten what a tight course it is. Greens were a little bumpy in places but overall pretty good. If you need a quick 18 to keep you eye in this place is great value for money.

Windmill is no wind up …

Played this course very early in the morning so the pace was excellent and the course was presented in nice condition before the heavy traffic of the day. The greens were true but the birds had left many pockmarked. The fairways had recovered nicely from the hot weather but the tee boxes hadn’t. The course has many ditches that come into play in quite a few holes. It played long but gave you variety of tee shots. All in all not a premium course or experience but a decent challenge for a public course. I would play it again and if you’re thinking if you should play it I’d say go for it.

So many leaves

It’s a flat and pretty course with fast greens. Everywhere covered in leaves though and found it near impossible to find the ball even in the middle of the fairway so after 9 holes and several lost balls wished to give up but then the tractor appeared and started shredding the leaves. Back 9 a lot more enjoyable to play.

Still a nice course

Windmill is s relatively flat course, but plenty of hazards to keep you on your game. Compared to the list time I played here the greens were lovely, and had clearly been cared for great job!! Some slow hackers in front which we decided to ditch 2 holes otherwise it would have been a 5 hour round.

Alas no to avoid these days

Played here on/off for many years it's the worst condition I have never seen it in, appreciate it's early spring no growth yet but the greens which use to be it's best feature are in appalling state, rolling on a cabbage patch.

The staff are always friendly & polite but don't waste your money if I was you a pity it has potential but don't bother to invest any money this is what happens alas.

Needs an intelligent green keeper

Not a bad little course nestled away.

Nothing spectacular but ticks a lot of boxes.

Play a little slow but not the worst

Huge greens, but the pins seem to be located in similar areas leading to divots , scuffing and mud. Let's the course down

Summer course

My friends and I played this course on the 30 December. In my honest opinion the course should have been closed. Poor fairways that in places were very soft and soggy. The greens were not too bad but some golfers make them worse by not repairing their pitch marks. Friendly service though in the clubhouse.

Great Course in need of some TlC

It’s a great course played here many times but as the trees have matured makes it narrow in some places. Bunkers too hard like concrete with very little rakes about.

Greens are awful lots of holes and weeds.

Fairways ok but again lots of weeds.

It’s disappointing to see it in this state, also letting anybody on without correct equipment or attire made very slow play. No course etiquette.

This was once a championship course, needs investment and TLC.
