Esplanade Golf and Country Club of Naples

We played the golf course with the idea of perhaps buying a property in the community. After the golf, we decided not to consider this community. We are serious golfers and could not see playing this course on a frequent basis. It was wide open and lacking much in the way of any variety of landing spots, green slopes, nice views, etc. ``Boring`` is the word that comes to mind.

We were extremly surprised about the condition of this rather new golf course: nice fairways and fast greens. They did a truly perfect job on the course. There are already a lot of palm trees which give the feeling of a more mature course. Well done, I would recommend it all the time!

THE COURSE IS GREAT FOR BEGINERS AS WELL AS THE ADVANCES GOLFERS. GREENS ARE FAST AND TRUE. THE PEOPLE ARE VERY NICE, CANT WAIT FOR THE CLUB HOUSE TO BE BUILT. THE BUNKERS SOMETIMES ARE PLACED IN A SPOT TO WITCH I HIT ... BUT THATS OK GREAT GOLF COURSE. WORTH THE IN SEASON PRICE.

Had a fun time out on the course. The facilities were nice with the exception of minimal rest room opportunities once out in the course but that's to be expected I guess since the entire community has yet to be constructed. The course itself is well taken care of despite some distances between holes that seemed to take a full 2 or 3 minutes to traverse the landscape. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. All said and done I hope to go back soon.

The greens are as smooth and well kept so there is no way that your ball will move other than by the undulation of the green. It looks like artificial turf it is so perfect. The front nine is very attractive but the back nine is not very attractive because of the ongoing construction. The course on the back nine is excellent but the surrounding area looks like a disaster zone because of the construction.

fun to play but will be better a year from now. still a lot of unfinished areas. fairways and greens are nice. greens very large and undulating. some of the cart paths not completed.

Great course for any handicap. This is a first year course in a new golf community. So if you can deal with a little construction going on its must play. Course has been kept in excellent condition and very friendly staff.

It is a brand new course designed and maintained very well. Tee box options are well thought out making it a true challenge for any level of golfer. Staff are extremely friendly

Very fair, wide open layout with beautifully conditioned but challenging greens. Played in four hours and while the back nine is still an under construction wasteland we still enjoyed this course very much.

The complimentary two bottles of water per player was a nice touch and kudos to all who work there. Everyone from the pro shop folks to the cart guys were super friendly and totally professional.

This course was excellent even though it has been open less than a year. The people were very friendly and the price was very reasonable. After the first of the year the price will be going up to the point that it will be costly to play.

My friend and I played this course on the advise of a friend and could not have been more pleased. It was in remarkable shape for being less than 9 months old and the staff was great. It has broad landing areas off the tee, lots of sand and undulating greens to add character.

We played as a twosome and never waited until the 10th hole. Even with expected waits on the back, we played the 18 holes in three and a half hours!

My golf partner and I agreed that we would go back in a heartbeat.

Course is failrly new and the community is just starting to be built up, which is probably why it's available to the public during these busy months. My best guess is this policy will change in 2-3 years, once the membership grows.

It's fun to play and in very good shape. The greens are paspalum and probably the course's biggest defense. They're VERY grainy (slow uphill and fast downhill) and somewhat undulating. They're also a bit on the hard side, so approach shots without spin will have a tough time holding.

There are several sets of tees, although I think they'd be better-served incorporating a hybrid tee (or two) on the scorecard. For instance....the GOLDs are roughly 6500, and the SILVERs are roughly 6000. The guys I played with would normally play something in the 6200 range, so a hybrid tee would have been perfect.

All in all it's a nice course and a facility that isn't close to finished, but progressing daily.

From tee to green, the course is in excellent condition. The pin placements made for a challenging test of golf. I enjoyed the course and the staff so much that I booked two more rounds of golf to play later in the week.

We found the course in great shape and depending on the tees you choose can make it quite challenging. The only thing that got under my skin was that i did not see one ranger at all. Our foursome ended up behind behind two threesomes and they both played slow. Other then that the beer cart came by 2-3 times and was really nice.

front nine is good, lacking only finishing touches. back nine is quite playable but is still a work in progress as is its residential developement.

Great track. Plenty of places to get in trouble. Sand, water, shrubs, but the fairways are plenty wide. Back nine gets a little windy. Greens were average speed, but when I got to the back nine I figured out why. Plenty of slope on the greens. The only think I would recommend is a map of the course. Course is tough especially on the first play. They should give some distances and a hole layout.

Our group consisted of two foursomes looking for a new challenge in the Naples area. Skill levels rank as intermediate. Clubhouse under construction typical of a new course. Course was in great condition as a general rule. Open fairways made for an exciting round off the tee but we quickly learned that position was critical for all approach shots. New greens rolled true with unique pin placements and contours. Overall, everyone in the group wants to make Esplanade a regularly scheduled venue. Try it!!!
