Esplanade Golf and Country Club of Naples

Got hooked up with a threesome and played best ball format which was good since it was my first time at this course. The other guys had played here before, so they provided good information concerning course management. Since the course is new, there is plenty of construction going on, but the course itself was in great shape. Didn't have any food or beverages, so can't comment on that. I will definitely play this course again.

Course is very fair and generous fairways. Large greens with undulations make the course a good challenge.

This course seems to be improving every time that I return to play. The greens are starting to hold shots much better and the overall experience is nicer.

I played this course a few months ago and was quite disappointed with the condition of the back nine. I was happy to see the that the back nine has fully recovered and the whole course is now in great shape.

A fun course to play. If the greens were faster it would be a lot more entertaining. The starter was no where to be found when I finished my warm up so I started without him and alone as there was virtually no one on the golf course. He caught me at my approach in the first fairway a little disgruntled but allowed me to continue.

Great course. I have played it several times since it opened. Many lateral water hazards. wide fairways and undulating greens.19th hole is new. Basic but will be better. This is a new course and fabulous clubhouse is under construction. Always a pleasure

This course recently opened in a new community. Great course and will only get better. Large undulating greens so you gotta hit them close. Will definitely play again

The tee box the fearways and greens where all great

New course with a very friendly layout. Easy on the eye with wide fairways. Greens are the best part of the layout. Lots of slope, many sections, with lots of depth. Pay attention to pin position, as an example the 18th green is ~4 clubs deep. Many greens slope back to front, randan greens, punch bowl greens and a Biarritz green or two. Really nice green designs. 8 foot putts can be difficult.
Layout: No "forced carries" for shorter hitters, not much water in play, nice targets from tee box. Cannot make up stokes on the greens. Up & Down a challenge.
Played a day after heavy rain, Greens were firm but receptive. BIG ISSUE was cart path only on the day we played as almost all paths were on opposite side. ie hole bends left, path on right. Real problem>> NO yardage except on sprinkler heads, thus range finder a must. No yardage markers on par 3 tee boxes. No rest room facilities on course, one porta potty we visited was filthy.
Twosome played in 4 hours, cart path only, as early group out. Had three foursomes behind us that were nowhere to be seen at finish. Outside Staff was VERY FRIENDLY and courteous.
NEED to get a deal on price as course is immature and without standard on course amenities..

Only open since mid march this course will develop over time into an excellent challenge. Spacious fairways with challenging approach shots. A great summer value.

Arrived early and was schedule on my tee time with a threesome to play with as I was a single. At the time of the tee time the starter informed me that the threesome had brought an extra unscheduled player. He informed that out of his controlled they bumped me from my scheduled time and that I had a choice to follow the secound foursome or to go out by myself as a single. I didn't want to wait after the two foursomes went off so I went off as a single which was very disappointing. First time I have ever not had a tee time honored. Director of Golf stated he couldn't win either way and decided to bump me. Hey why not honor tee times like every Golf course in the country.

Great course, good layout! New course with no house's which is nice. Great condition course needs a few years to mature which will allow the greens to be a bit more receptive to quality struck shots. Overall, great experience! Thanks!

The course design was fair. The course itself was in very good condition. The greens were in great shape. The greens had a lot of undulations. The cups could have been painted or lined for better visibility. The staff was amazing. The value is very good.

Really enjoyed my first trip around Esplanade. As all new courses are, the greens were firm requiring some bump and run approaches. Very nice layout.

The starter was very impolite! We were rushed to play fast although we offered the next group to play thru and at that time the course was wide open ! The back 9 is a different story, there is a lot of construction work going on,not to mention no trees not even water stations! At off season, their Green Fees are a bit out of line!

Beatiful layout greens in nice shape a little slow.
However no yardage markers only yardage on sprinkler heads no marker at all on part threes.. This really slows down pace of play.. Also back nine fairways need lots of work..

Off a recommendation we booked this course and were very disappointed. At check in the staff was not very friendly and the starter was incredibly rude. We had planned our time based on the tee time booked and were told by the starter we would tee off 30 min earlier because of a cancellation and to hurry up. The greens were in terrible condition. The community was under construction so I am guessing once it's completed it will be a nice course. Wait until it's finished to play. We were not impressed with the current condition and could have played a lot nicer course for the same price.

This new course has very wide fairways. The front 9 fairways were in much better condition than the back 9. However, the open fairways encourage giving every shot as much as you've got. Greens are large and sloping.

There are no houses, but construction is underway. Winds sweep up clouds of dusty dirt from time to time.

There is no drinking water on the course except for what you get at the pro shop. There is a travelling cart.
