Gators & Cranes & Wind, Oh MY

Very windy high humidity day. Played with a couple of members, who were very friendly and helped with the local knowledge aspect. Saw a crane family walk across a fairway with two chick born a couple of weeks ago, and a small alligator sunning itself beside a par three water hazard, so...kinda fun and not something we see in Colorado. The course was in good shape, greens were moderately fast and rolled true. Got a good discount from the rack price by booking online, still $130 per player. The wind was honking, and seemed to always be blowing in our faces, so pretty tough to judge the right club. Still, we had a great time and my playing partner and I were happy we decided to play this course.

It’s like every hole is their signature hole. Greens in remarkable condition. Booked a round late the night before for $170 and it was worth every penny. Played in exactly 3 hours as a twosome. One of the best courses I’ve ever played in my life.

Don’t get your hopes up thinking that ChampionsGate country club course will be as nice as ChampionsGate golf club. It’s not. But they sure want to charge you a premium price.
