Hammer Golf
Course was in good shape, but the greens had been plugged, which we knew. Course can play long, as we played the Gold tees, 4th fartherest back out of 5. Love the course!
Worth a play
Comfortable carts. Course in great condition. Did the best with what they had to work with. Smelled a bit close to the 18th waterfall feature as it was turned off. Challenging holes and glad we stopped off on our cross country trip. Paid for the round from the slots.
Not much variety
There was only one hole with a waterfall...the last hole...a par ,3 over s pond. Most of the holes were flat and uninteresting but the course was well maintained...greens were plenty fast but also all the same
windy and pretty boring layout
it was our first time at the Falls and there were 17 holes about the same...and..one nice final par three with a waterfall....the wind made the round hard work...not the courses fault...but...once was enough....the greens were nice and rolling...but..again...they were all about the same
Always Satisfied
This course is a great value for the quality of the course conditions. The five tee boxes allows players of different lengths off the tee to enjoy good scoring opportunities. Always look forward to my next round at Grand Falls.
Great condition
Course was in great shape, bunkers are magnificent. Challenging course from all tees. Our only problem was that there was a frost delay and a tournament, so play was slow and we couldn’t finish before dark.
Fun Casino Course
I did not have as many problems as previous reviewers with the layout. The stream and wetlands that run through the middle of the course most likely limited the routing options. Course conditions were very good for late October.
The course sits on gently rolling terrain and utilizes the stream and wetlands well for hazards / strategic golf holes. Yes the 18th hole is gimicky, but I enjoyed my chance to get a birdie in a hole to finish the round.
Iowa Links Course
Very nice golf course set up in "Links" style. No trees anywhere on the course, sticky over seeded rough surrounded by tall fescue. Greens were fast but rolled smooth and true (I loved them). Staff in the clubhouse were great, friendly and helpful, as was the starter, Michael. The cart girl on the back nine was a gem!! The only criticism I have is that it seems to be set up more for guests of the resort, as opposed to, golfers from outside. Transition from parking lot to 1st tee is a little awkward. I'd go back and play it again!
AWESOME Golf Course
This is a challenging course and well worth the money to play. Enjoyed all of it!
Course was challenging
Overall I really liked the course. It was in great shape with lots of great challenges. The greens rolled nice but were too fast for my taste. The only other suggestion I have is to add a combination set of tees. Too big of a gap from 5700 to 6400. My home course in Arizona we play from about 6000 yards. Thanks.
Fun Day at the Falls
Course was in good shape. The greens were smooth and rolled out good, especially for early in the season. Layout gives you opportunity to hit special shots, with the cross winds as well as into and down wind. Fun course!
