Boone Creek Golf Club - Prairie Course

Overall course condition was good except for compacted sand traps and little sand on them.

This is a good practice course for a variety of lies and angles. Longish drive but worth it.

Staff friendly. Able to tee off a few minutes before scheduled tee time. Joined 2 golfers on 1st tee. They were pretty good golfers so the day went well. I was able to hit tee shots straight and all went over 225 yards. Play was well paced. Caught upto group ahead of us and had to wait just a little before hitting our shots. Played the round in just under 4 hours. Fun time has by all.

If you want a eude groundskeeper driving in front of you while you're teeing off, then this is the place for you. Rudest groundskeeper with a mouthy attitude. I'll go somewhere else where my money is appreciated.

The greens here are what really make this course a great value. Some of the smoothest rolling well mai tai Ed public greens in the area. The rough gets thick in the fall.

Not the longest, so if you’re a big hitter you’ll find yourself leaving the drive rin the bag most of the day. , but a good variety of shots throughout.

Overall a great maintained course for the money.

Had the smart mouthed groundskeeper follow us with his lawnmower for about 5 holes. When we asked him if he was going to keep following us, he shot off his mouth by asking us if we wanted him to keep following us. At one point he drove straight towards us as we were in the middle of teeing off. RUDEST GROUNDSKEEPER I'VE EVER MET. PLENTY OF OTHER COURSES TO PLAY WITHOUT RUDENESS.

I come here to play a quick 9 on the weekends when I'm in the area at my Lake House. They have 3 nine hole courses they switch out everyday depending if you're playing 9 or 18. The greens are very nice but small, the sand traps are awful, half dirt, half sand. The grass is usually a bit high. The water hazards are Ponds off to the side of the holes or in the back, nothing very scenic. They have a driving range, practice sand and green area which is helpful. The bar/restaurant seemed cool but I have not experienced it yet.

The course has a great country vibe to it. Putting greens were absolutely immaculate!! Pace of play it was great, especially for a Saturday. Easy check-in, staff is friendly, and a nice range to warm up. I'll definitely be coming back, thank you!!

Over all, the course was is great shape. Fairways rolled out and the greens were fast and pure. I did not have one single issue with any pitch marks, the greens were absolutely perfect. The course layout is very interesting. They have three 9's, Valley, Prairie & Creekside. I played the Valley & Prairie. The Valley course is only 2900 yards from the tips. I was only able to use my driver one time because of the doglegs and trouble, and that was on the 433 yd 9th hole. The Prairie course was longer, 3175 from the tips and was a totally different layout, so I was able to hit driver on all the par 4's & 5's. The only issue I noticed while playing, was that their bunkers do have small peebles mixed in with the sand, I personally was not in any of them but the guys I was paired with were and they took the time to rake the peebles away before hitting. Over all, I'd highly recommend this course, it was one of the best conditioned punlic courses I've played on all year, and doing it for $30 bucks via a hot deal made the experience even that much better!

Long time golfer at this course. Will not be back. Not because of the course, not because of MOST of the staff, but will not be back because of the proshop staff, specifically, a wonderful person named Bruce.

You could not be more condescending, rude, and/or a crabby person to work at a course. Note to other golfer, go to another crappy course that costs 50 bucks and avoid have ti deal with someone who thinks they can speak to patrons the way they do and act all high and mighty.

And to Bruce, find another profession, bro.

I played a sunset round for my first time at Boone Creek for a $15 hot deal and had the best golfing experience in recent memory. The staff is extremely friendly, and the courses are maintained so well. There’s a total of 27 holes (3 9-hole courses each with their own name and style) and it’s located in a beautiful area with trees and long grass perfectly set into the scenery. Will definitely be playing again very soon, and bringing friends!
