The Club at Islas del Mar

Islas del Mar is our favorite course in Puerto Penasco. It is only 9 holes but you can play it twice for 18. They have a set of yellow tees that are longer on some holes and shorter on some holes than white tees if you don’t want to play the same tees. The setting is beautiful, played around lagoons, near the ocean. The staff does a great job of maintaining conditions. The other contender for “best” in Penasco is Vidante, which is just as good from a quality and condition perspective. We just like the style of hole layouts at Islas, plus it is much closer to Sandy Beach resorts. Both are great.

I love this course. Only wish it was 18 holes. The staff there are awesome. Course is in beautuful shape. Can't wait to play it again.

For the money this course is a great way to spend the day, to bad it’s only 9 holes.

The course was in great shape and easy to get to.

Price was competitive. A lot of water but wide fairways and greens that hold with a high shot.

ONLY one issue. PLEASE, PLEASE do not Armour All the seats, steering wheel and floor boards. Everything we touched was greasy and made our golf gloves also greasy. Also getting into the cart was dangerous because our feet slipped.

The course is beautiful, it is only 9 holes, but definitely worth playing twice back to back. Definitely bring your A or B game, anything less will not be fun. Water plays on most every hole, just a great layout.

I wish it was 18 holes. But don’t let that stop you. The way the wind changes down there the second time around, plays like a whole different course with the wind and the different tea boxes

Beautiful course! Food and drinks were fantastic! The free Tesla chargers were an extra bonus!

This is a well mantained course. Very challenging. Water on every hole. Pretty windy because ocean breeze. I recommend you try it at least once. I'll go back!

This is a Jack Nicholas designed course. i think Jack forgot that not everyone is a pro or scratch golfer. Par score is difficult to come by. The pin locations were very fair but getting there in regulation required consistent ball striking. one mistake will earnyou a quad.

I had a very enjoyable round of golf. It was surprisingly difficult with tiny greens and water and play on virtually every hole. I played different tees on each nine. Course condition was excellent. I will be back.

Beautiful course and amazing staff. Water on every hole makes this course more challenging. Driving range needs some improving. Staff are always smiling and are happy to make sure you are having a great day.

I’m spoiled. I have a great Jack Nicholas course in my backyard.
