Great value
Slow play is the only complaint. The course is in great condition considering the type of hackers that play there. Greens put well. I wish players fixed their ball divots. Fun course for improving your short game. Definitely play again when I’m in the area.
too rush
staff keep rushing us for play faster while we have 4 in the group. they compare us with others who have 2-3 in the group
honestly, it is small course. advanced player may play faster while our beginners takes times. I dont understand why we are being rushed so many times. if the beginner level course is not friendly to beginners. where should we go?
Great day
I love this course. Birch hills is one of my favorites to play. Last time I played here, hole one is now hole 14 so it was kind of cool playing it a new way.
Pace of place and greens
Course was over packed. Far too many people cramped up and the Marshall did little to nothing to inform slow groups of pace of play.
Also, no one seems to understand to fix their divots on the greens.
Have always enjoyed this course. Great for the short game. But post covid nonsense this course just crams people out (esp on weekends) and many of the players have little to no etiquette and knowledge of simple considerations.
Fun little course. I guess you get what you pay for lol
I will play Birch Hills any time
My first time playing here. The course is very good with friendly staff. Pace of play was good. Will come back often.
Divot tool anyone?
We played at the end of the day, so there were probably over a 100 players before us. The tee boxes were in decent shape with a couple of exceptions. My complaint is with the lack of etiquette of the golfers. Every single green had dozens of divots and on most of our putts we had to repair other players divots in order to putt.
1st time player
Nice course, greens dry. Bunkers hard as rock
Also some holes around green very hard and dry.
Overall nice course
Great short course
Biggest complaint would be the horribly dead range balls. However, they have started ordering and replacing new callaway range balls which are far better and fly true. Their older yellow range balls are cheap and simply dead. They are 20-30 yards shorter than any decent ball on many shots over 100 yards
The course is fun. It’s challenging and the greens are well kept for a short course. Pace of play is decent.
Overall a great course to practice, especially 100 yards and in.
Have always enjoyed this course and find it funny when people do not like it simply bc it is a short course. Best short course I’ve found in SoCal hands down!
